Does it heal battle fatigue?
Not as described. It sounded to me like a loot component that medics/docs would use in med crafting that would enable the creation of a mind wound pack.
Maybe just semantics here, but anyone notice that they mentioned that the mysterious elixir could beadded to "stimpacks", rather than "wound packs"? Was there a slip of the terminology? Could be here that they really mean mind damage healing being added into stimpacks, rather than mind wounds being healed by a new kind of Mind Wound Pack. By naming conventions, Stimpacks heal damage, Wound Packs heal wounds.I'm starting to wonder now...

I personally think it was a mistype and they meant mind damage not wounds, it would just be odd to have a stim pack that did +400 action/health heal and +XX mind WOUND heal... pretty sure they mean it adds mind to the healable pools

I think they most definitely meant mind wounds. They know the difference between damage and wounds.
I don't look forward to the Combat Upgrade, I think Entertainers are going to be put on the back burner for a long time, and we'll be starved for a purpose in the game community. That is, unless we make a strong stance that we want to maintain a function while they tinker with all the Combat folks.
My personal prediction: All Mind stuff gets given to Doctors, and they work on giving usa purpose againlater next year. Most likely something for buffing the specials HAM pool.

Please, typos get thru all the time, does it really make sense to you to put mind WOUND healing in a STIM pack? Thats gonna do them a WHOLE lot of good on the battle field, being able to take care of those mind wounds. Seems to me it would be a lot more useful if it healed mind DAMAGE with the magical elixir. Ok, maybe the devs have us on the back burner, I won't deny that, but to honestly believe they're going to put WOUND healing in a STIM pack is just crazy. Are we pretty much **edit** until after the combat ballance? I think so. Does CS do a piss poor job at protecting our play style? Dang straight. Do I think the devs are actively "out to get us"? No, but lets face it live entertainers ARE the minority players. If all the live entertainers up and quit, subscription numbers would hardly be affected and lets face it, the suits would probably be happy because there'd be less arguing on the board, and they could combine the 3 ent forums into one single "Buffbot" forum. I don't think they'll ever make mind buffs doled out by NPC's nor do I think they'll give them to docs, after all why make an NPC when a player is willing to pay to make one, and why take away skills from 2 classes when in order to have a full buff set it requires 2 full bots (doc bot and ent bot), would reduce the number of accounts if they gave mind buffs to docs.
Personally I'm hoping one day they'll supprise us, kinda like they did with theatrical 2. Broken or not it was actually nice to have that thrown in as an extra dance, that required some investigation on our part to discover that it even existed and how to get it. Personally the biggest failing I see is they pretty much announce everything they're going to do and add, and while in a lot of ways they need to for proper testing, at the same time I wish they'd add stuff without telling everybody (closed beta's for example) and let it be a supprise. The jedi quest system was effectively ruined by over testing, yeah they wanted it to work but as soon as it hit live everybody was waiting for thier old man. Imagine how much cooler it would have been if the Jedi quest went live, but nobody really knew what to expect, then a few people started getting strange visits, would have done a lot for the game but instead... everybody was running around waiting.
Anyway I'm rambling now, but until I see the new loot system hit TC and it has mindWOUND healing stim packs, or a red name says "yes, stim packs will be able to heal mind WOUNDS" I'm going to continue to believe it was a typo because thats the only thing that makes sense to me.

Ok, I suppose I should clarify so people don't think I'm complaining unduly.
I know our ability to heal mind wounds won't be "taken away."It will be given away, added to another class via a looted item.
Not only is this wrong because a looted item is taking the place of something within a profession's skills, but it is also wrong because Entertainers must rely on healing xp in order to gain skill levels! The addition of this item will interfere with our levelling ability and make the road to levelling even more tedious than some already find it. What does this lead to? More AFK macrotaining.
Thanks, guys.
Real good move here.
(and by "real good" I mean "REALLY BAD.")

I'm not going to complain about this for this reason: it probably won't be affective. Usually, if you have mind wounds, you're going to have BF. Seeing as BF takes longer to heal than mind wounds, they will either heal their BF first, which takes down their mind wounds, or have reduced heals due to the BF. Also, if this is like any other wound "packs", it'll probably only heal one of the mind stats, whereas entertainers heal all.
Anyway, I can always hope that the devs made a typo and it's to heal mind damage, not wounds, seeing as it's being added to stim packs.

There was just recently a thread about this here on the Dancer boards, if anyone cares to peruse it.

Well if its like some of the items I've looted on the TC so far. Its not going to hurt the Entertainment Professions. Basically it works like a Stim Pack not as a Wound Pack.
I've looted some things that look like a Stim Pack A, that heals Health, Action and Mind pools for 50 points, but they don't cure any current wounds for those pools.
So the best thing is to keep an eye on it, and make sure what is going to actually happen, and not jump to any conclusions before the loot revamp is done.

Yes many of us posted in the thread that had this in it. It has of course been ignored. And as of yet none of our Corrs have any info or have been allowed to post any info on this item. Either way it means it's not good for us.

I disagree darkyoda. As long as there is no BF healing device i dont think we will be hurt at all.

Until they see we've accepted the mind wound healing stim, and decide to push the limits further with the fatigue healing one.
I've found they're much like children. They'll keep pushing the limits of what's acceptable. With a child, you just have to set specific limits and enforce them. With SOE... not much we can do other than post our dissatisfaction and cancel our accounts.

There is already BF healing mechanics in game that aren't delivered by entertainers. And the healing trees are the slowest xp gain for most entertainers. Mostly because of all the AFK bots get a lot of that xp they don't need. Now some people think it could be a typo... it could very well be a typo... but if it's a typo and easy to fix then why have the Corrs not been allowed to post that it's a typo and why hasn't the document been fixed.
So if it's really Mind Wounds like it says each and every one of those looted is less XP for entertainers.
