The Old Man still hasn't visited me

When he does though, it's straight to The Village to play Folk and Ceremonial with (Sparkles) my droid followed by some Poplock dance with my droid on the SW1 Bandfill

I logged in glowing on Tuesday right after server reset. (It's /check...and I had to stay home from work due to weather weirdness where I live and babysitter issues.) I got a visit from an old man last night around...um...10pm Eastern? I have not yet been visited by Sith trying to take my cute new diary...er, crystal...away from me.

What amuses me is a guildmate who's all hyper that he hasn't gotten a visit from an old man yet. First, folks were all hyper about how many professions people had ground through, and what badges they'd gotten...I just played, dammit. I was a Bio-Engineer for a long time by choice. When that got boring, I opened a holocron and it told me Pikeman. I did that 'cause I figured "What the hey." Then #2 told me Bounty Hunter and I told that little blue cube where it could stick itself. I was not going to give up Musician. After that, I just played the bloody game. I mastered Dancer andImage Designer to be a "l33t girlfriend professioneer."I mastered Swordsman because I found being a pure entertainer boring as hell. I did the Jabba themepark for the heck of it and the schematics. I went around to every single Location/POI badge-giving spot just to do it. I mastered Brawler again to be able to PvP with my friends.I did the neutral Corvette missions with my guild. I did the Imperial themepark 'cause I was bored. All of this was well before publish 10. And when I found out I was glowing...I just went about my business and played.

When I am able to go to the village, I'll jam there with anyone else who wants. I'll even do my favorite thing and go overt, wearing clothes, just to see if some jackass Rebelthinks they can take me because I'm a Master Musician. (I love going and pounding some rifleman's head in because they thought me being overt in clothing playing the Narlagon by the Theed or Coronet starport meant they could take me.)

I too am glowing with the Force... how odd as I have no intention of becoming a Jedi while so many on my server have stood in Coronet screaming at the injustice of grinding through professions only to be told they are unworthy. Hehe I could have told them that if they hadn't been AFK in the cantina.

I plan to continue enjoying the galaxy just as I always have. I will make a few trips to Dathomir to offer buffs in the outpost and might just head to the village at some point to do a jig in the streets.

Ok..day two..I'm having a lovely time running around town rp'ing that this dirty old man isstalking me and watching the crowd in front of the shuttleport grow larger as my home town gets a reputation for being a place where the old man hangs out. ROFL

That is so funny that you're doing that! You should make a video.

As to how long he'll follow you...I wonder if he'll follow you for the next 5 years if you never actually talk to him. ROFL

I have a faint sense of the Force. Not that I expect to do anything with it - I have my hands full with just one character per server let alone two on the same one! LOL! I don't want to follow the Jedi path, although being able to use some Force abilities in a role playing aspect would be cool. Oh well . . . I'll leave that to my fanfic . . .

Funny thing is, I have an alt on another serverwho didn't get any feeling of the Force and still ran across the old man (standing on the edge of the porch at the local player cantina, btw). No, he didn't have anything to say to her, but it was interesting that she saw him and my main still hasn't.

Oh I talk to him..I just haven't clicked the little button to get the crystal..I just don't have the time for dealing with attacks from sithlumps right now. After a few minutes he "rushes off". Whether that is because I haven't responded appropriately or due to the horde of jedimongers crowding around clicking on him, I've no idea. I'm worried that at some point he's going to jam up from all their clicking and I'll be stuck with a persistent old man shouting, "I've nothing to say to you" in front of our shuttleport forever.

OOO you lucky devil!! Congrats!! Im trying to get there. I had my crystal, but unfortunatly was jumped when I didnt have my bodyguard available. They killed me and took my crystal. But the old man came back as my friend was explaining how my new combat droid worked.. so Ive got another crystal and a little more help. Hope it works this time cause the old man might get mad at me for making him keep coming out to the desert..

Went to the village and found I got 1 free branch (probably from my misguided months of voluntary bondage building factories). I trained up to Healing 4 in the Heightened Senses tree. Not much more to say about it really. I'm having a much more interesting, challenging and exciting journey trying to find a master musician to train me the 8 boxes of healing. /taps foot impatiently
