To answer your question New Jedi.

I found out something last night that i never knew...(guess old dogs can learn new tricks)

Anyway, its true you can only do bandflourishes, but you can add the instrument type of the recording and only the bot will do the flo

so like if you recorded onto the playback track Bandfill for Ballad instead of doing /bandflo <1-8>....you just add onto that /bandflo <1-8> <Bandfill>

only the bandfill will flourish and your free to do whatever...be advised though in a multiperson group if you have more then one bandfill...its obvious what will happen

Now assuming you can do just this, would it stand to reason that you could input two bandflo's at the same time but specify? hmmm i wonder if you could do like

/bandflo 4 Nalgaron

/bandflo 2 Bandfill

and if timed right it would execute at the same time?

i will have to try this out..if its possible it would make writing a song macro much easier then creating two scripts

jeeez everytime i answer a question i create one too!

Sylune_heart, thanks for the guidance. OK, I'll try turning my own bandflo'ing off, and then doing other stuff. I'm amazed to hear that the other stuff might include dancing. I *am* a Master Entertainer, you know. But mostly I'm interested in doing flo 3 on the nalargon while the droid does, say, flo 6.

Fragpuppie, how do I tell only the droid to /stop and /start? /stop bandfill?

Also, can you /pausemusic the droid? I /pausemusic'd myself to give the droid solo's last night -- what a hoot! I didn't think of doing Ventriloquism while he solo'd, but that's on my agenda. Does /pausemusic <time> do anything? Adding a number doesn't seem to increase the duration of the pause.

I think these things are a blast.

You can only have one droid out at a time even if your a creature handler thats just how it works right now.

Ok this is how the playback works when the bug doesn't spoil it.

1. The musician gets a intrament in hand and selects a song

2. The musician selecets a track from the droid to record.

3. You don't need to flourish and you only have to play for a couple seconds as the droid is not really recording so much as your teaching the droid that song with that instrament.

4. Now stop your recording and your all set. You can play another instrament in the same song you tought the droid and start the play back.

5. The droid acts EXACTLY like a human in the group. So you can flourish yourself and the droid will jsu tplay the beat, You can /bandflourish and the droid will flourish. You can bandflourish <intrament> and just have the droid flourish. You can also turn your bandflourish off and then just band flourish and the droid will frlouish also (mentioned by someone else here)

6. Do not /changeb to a song the droid doenst know or you will trigger the above mentioned bug. You can stop his play back then change all you want though

LOL ok Im reading over this thread and decided two things

1. I'm going to write a good set of lesons on the new droids and post it in my dance school. I just wanted this thread to get the info out fast.

2. I will be posting the location of my studio wich is not far from Coronet on the Bria server and a time this evning so all can come see the new droids and chat about entertaining. Ill get the loc and time posted soon as I can confirm with my friend so she will be there. For now make a newbie character on Bria in Coronet or if your afraid of the lag like us make them Tyrena (its a long but safe swim from there to my studio) keep your eyes on this forum for the time an loc.

You can also use the /bandflo <intrament name> on the bot instead of turning your own bandflo's off. Both methodes have their time to be the better way to do it

Heh, I was going to sticky this one when I saw it yesterday... and then I read itand was like "ohhh, she's still really excited and testing."

If you want to do a separate mini-guide and name it "Droid Instruction: New addition to Sultrina's School of Dance" or something like that, we can sticky that as well as linking to the School.

Yay!

We were awful on Test Center, n'Jessi, Pappi, and I just kept cueing them up and going "ooooooh" and cheering for the droids. Pappi was the worst, she would have all the effects going at the same time! heh

I'm a big fan of the "Birds in the Clouds" look and think that may be done really well with a spoken word routine maybe.I'm looking forward to reading your new guide!
