Of the thirty three playable professions in the game make no mistake musician and dancer are prioritized # 32 and # 33.

These professions "work" in the that player charactersare healing battle fatigue &mind woundsand players are getting mind buffs. The only thing that would get the devs attention would be if players no longer played these character professions. Of course as long as one AFK bot exists per server than the entertainer professions will seem to be working.

Ok, after tonight's incident, I'm not gonna play nice anymore... I've edited my first post and put in the names of these idiot ingame CSRs so they can take the credit for what they've said. This new oneis just icing on the cake.

I was in the Mining Outpost on Dantooine again, and noticed an AFKtainer spamming for heals every 45 seconds. Since the CSRs agree that spam is bad, I again reported it. Here's what I got after two and a half hours of gameplay:

"Greetings,

I attempted to reach you directly in-game, but it appears you have already logged out. Thank you for your concern, but dancers utilizing macros are not exploiting the system. Macros are intended to assist players in repeated tasks such as this and it is not considered a violation of the EULA. Additionally, as long as a player has at least 30 seconds between their posts, they are considered to be advertizing not spamming. If this player's text is annoying to you, I would hight (uhm, huh?) suggest utilizing your /addignore feature. I wish you the best of luck in the future and thank you for playing Star Wars Galaxies.

CSR-AmandaT"

I was in pretty heavy combat when I got this reply, so I tried scrolling up through my seporate IM chat window (for just such occasions), and no message other from a guildie.

Ok... I think we've just about proven that the CSRs simply don't care, don't keep up with the boards, and have no clue whatsoever as to what is harmful to the game and what isn't, and have no respect for the game or its players.

This so needs to change. It *will* be changing, but it's gonna be a while.

What ?? Gonna be a while ? what does that mean NJ ? should I quit now and come back next year ? I want a freakin timeline on how far down the road this macro change is going to happen.

After JtL. After Combat Revamp.

After anything else in the game besides us is taken care of and working properly.

The only people I would have NO problem going ahead of us for some desperately needed changes is Smugglers. Because, man they need help horribly.

We're looking at mid 2005 at the earliest, I'd say. Just me guesstimating.

Trust me, we're not any kind of priority. But eventually they might get around to helping our professions, once 50% of the live Entertainers who enjoy this have quit.

All I can say is, keep fighting the good fight, chin up, and we'll do our best to try and get this junk resolved as acommunity.

I just look forward to some glorious month where we won't have some Robot Entertainer post:

"I play my game the way I want to, don't tell me how to play my game." We're not telling anyone how to play their game, we're telling people to PLAY THE GAME.

See the difference?

Not HOW to play the game. Just PLAY the game. That is all.

have to chime in with a bit of humor on this one

with that being said about a possible timeline... does that mean never? i mean, we ARE on a trend of adding new content and never fixing the old... been that way since day 1....albeit, all the post release content has been for combat professions till soon from now... and even that hasnt been that much... warrens... corvette... and now the village... heck.. WESTILL have bugs with /startband and /change that have been around since the game went live... so as far as 'when anything else in the game gets fixed' goes... 2005 is a bit optomistic

I tried the profession and could have master all 3 in2 days if i choose to do it afk. 1 problem people don't understand is that will all the spamming it lags the server up. If they do get rid of afk macros at least all the people by the starports will be gone from doing that. Also if they do that they better get rid of the merchant droids as well. It just lags the server which can take a person a while just to buy a ticket to go to another planet. If they do allow the afk macros i would suggest them allowing 15 minute timer once going afk and the server would automatically log them off. The entertainment profession is getting the most attention but i do know a lot of combat professions are doing the same thing except there is no spam to go along with it. In the guild i am in we have one that has mastered all 3 professions and never once did she go afk. She complains that due to all the afkers she can't make the money she use to unless she is buffing. Plus she says it is also hard to just socialize with people while they are getting thier bf healed. I for one hope they get rid of all recursive macros. This will affect more than just the entertainment profession but will force people to actually play their profession than grind it.

rofl a timeline. Next trick is if you get one to actually believe it. No timline is better than broken promises. Cause thats all you'd get.
