Sorry to upset you, but i entertain in the RL as well as SWG it just bugs me when i see someone playing away with no purpose to the game. Its not very entertaining compered to somone you can make you laugh or sing and play a song. I can't really understand what there doing in the profession.

Surely there must be someone who would play there during the times you play.

I don't see anything wrong with a Macro. Especially for something like Sampling or Music. You need entertainers at night right? You need like 200K of Materials for a Large House right? So do they really expect you to sit there for 5 hours straight typing /flourish 4 /flourish 1? That's the most tedious thing ever! It's only fair they allow a Macro.

You actually can create a single macro/alias that will run all night long. Its done by using a lesser known command /ui action toolbarslotXX where XX is the toolbar slot number from 0-23.

The following is my alias for dancing all night long. It can be adapted for your needs. (My alias document is saved to C: and is named mydance.txt)

Now in game I create a macro called "DanceAllNight" It has three commands in it.

- /load c:\mydance.txt (causes the alias to reload at the end of each loop, just incase I make a change)

- /pause 3 (just because I love pauses)

- /xxx (triggers the my danceallnight alias)

Make sure you are using a double toolbar, and load the macro in the last slot of the second bar. The game recognizes that slot as "ToolBarSlot23". Our alias calls for that slot to be activated at the end of each loop, causing the macro to loop endlessly, using just one macro.

Mooko - And just to let you know: This isn't even my primary server, my friend on this server begged me to start a musician because there were no healers in his city at night and everyone needed one. On my primary server i am an Expert Bounty Hunter / Creature Handler so i know how frustrating it can be to go to an empty cantina after you've just been killed or have massive fatigue. If there are performers there i ask them politely how long they will be on, if they say not long, i will start the macro. If they're in for a long haul, i tell them good luck and sign off, it's that simple.

hey Mooko, understand where you're coming from, but you're approaching this from the standpoint that this player might be doing this to further his own ends - when i was an entertainer (in the beginning, before i moved on to the excitement of BH/CH), i would often leave myself dancing all night long via a macro, NOT to level up or gain XP or get tips, but because while i'm NOT there, i don't see why my toon shouldn't still be able to heal people!

in real-life, we have emergency rooms and so on that are always filled - you been to Endor during slow times? I have, and often there are no dancers anywehre, so i need to go off-world to heal - in short, if someone's going to help me out by leaving their pc on 24/7 and giving me somewhere to heal my BF, then GOOD LUCK TO THEM!

I dont see the need to alias, but I only use macros to run my flourishes so I dont forget while Im talking, etc.

I just wrote this macro and put it in the upper left hand slot of your little hot-key bar. Its recursive, calling itself at the end and will last quite a while with enough stamina.

Im sure you get the point and can mess around with it however. Like I said, I just have the flourishes go automatically while Im playing.
