Thread: Being a Male and trying to dance. I get no attention
I did the hot pants and open vest thing (back before we could be shirtless) for laughs and got paid to put my clothes back on. ![]()
For the original poster - Group up. Then it doesn't matter who they look at.
For men in general - Looking "spiffy" isn't always the way to go if you want to stand out. I remeber back when clothes used to drop as loot all the time and the looted clothes had colors that the tailors couldn't match. I had a yellow sash, light purple jacket, red pants and some bright shirt or another. I called it my "Sgt. Pepper" outfitbecause the overall effect was an interesting facsimile of that look. I stood out quite well when I was wearing that getup. hehe.
Overall, though, the way to get attention is simply to be personable and REMEMBER your clientele. People notice when you can greet them and you don't just make small talk but you are able to talk about specifics regarding their latest doings or just the last time they came by. That's the foundation to building a clientele of repeat customers who'll notice you no matter what you're wearing.
