Unless you are speaking about rich in detail and being able to roleplay your character to the fullest. /shrug
I have been an Entertainer since the servers went live and I must confess that had it not been for me also picking up marksman and then pistoleer, i would have literally been a starving artist. Even today, sure a lot of masters get paid pretty good for player gigs, but just enough to cover the costs of, now, a house, clothing, and a vehicle, and even then at times its tight.
I am not advocating AFK Macroing, I never did it. But to those who do it, as long as they are not spamming everyone for tips, etc and they are not parked in the middle of the cantinas, i have no problem with em

In the OLD DAYS, Entertainers were appreciated. Even revered. There were fewer of them, and players had a fairly good opinion of them- even when they were AFK.. at least they were still providing a healing service.
Now, the cantinas are FULL of "entertainers" (the entertainer/customer ratio is absurd) and the percpetion is that they are allgrinding thru to Jedi - entertainment is now just a throw away skill - and you don't have to appreciate or tip them anymore. Holo-entertainers are usually fairly RICH even after buying their holocrons - and don't even NEED tips. Mostly they go AFK and don't care if anyone is in the cantina listening to them or not.
AFK isn't the root of the problem... It's the holocrons that changed the profession. What once was a profession that DEPENDED on relationships between entertainer and customer is nowa joke. It'sbeen turned into a jedi-grind stone. Thanks Devs!
exactly .... if it weren't for AFK'ers ....... i dont think that 5 am in the morning .. when there are hardly any dancers on or musicians ... you go out and battle then you need your mind wounds healed ..

Actually, in the OLD DAYS, I don't recall getting that much respect from most people, as an Entertainer/Dancer.
I get tipped better now for being at the keyboard then I ever did in the OLD DAYS.
I'm in no way an entertainer at all, but i happen to check all the boards out everyday..
and i must say enought is enought, and plan and simple there r like 15 afk topics on the front page..
get over it, its gonna happens same with macros, same with getting bored on a grind, its your game u chose
