I have but one opionion on macro'ing my Master Musician in the Cantina's,in the near futhure there will be manyentertainer/musicain masters at which, they will start towork on other skills, at that point people will be beggingentertainers/musicians to stay in the cantina. I know for myselfI spend most of my time in the fields hunting working onother skills, and when I'm not doing that, I'm at work in the Real World,I set my Mastermusician on macro in the cantinasto help out!.what gets me is people get upset about it.. listen I DONT need nor require any morexp!! for my musician so I do it for You!!. I donteven leave repeat messages asking for tips, if people want to tip go ahead if not oh well, i make my money other ways. what I'm trying to say is soon there will be many more in the same boat, that may not think the same way, if this happens what is goingto happen to the cantinas? (I'll leave it at that thought).

I totally agree with you. Ppl just like to bitch, the more ppl in the group the more xp. That lil (afk) above your head all day just urks them. Trust me, I'm not that interesting to talk to, I don't want your online sex, and I have things to do like... laundry or somthing than stand around for 8 hours straight shooting bull and getting in Cantina fights. Just let me macro what I wanna macro and you worrry about your skill and don't be concerned with nothing that is going on over "here". I got it under control.

2) its my only option to stop your bad behavior. you aren't even playing the game,if you were,i could ask you nicely to stop.

this hurts other entertainers, period. you even said it yourself, as more of us leave cantinas, there will be more demand for us to come back. now you are saying you want to stab the rest of us in the back, so that no entertainer who goes to a cantina will be tipped appropriately, or even at all?

Dont take this the wrong way cause I really am just wanting to understand. If you dont want to interact with people what in the world made you take up entertaining? Whats the point of macroing all the time..if you do it all the time anyway....erm isnt idea of this kind of game to have fun? Or leveling your skills for personal satisfaction the motive? Just trying to understand. Entertainer is my second occupation..artisian the first. When cantina empty or real slow I go work on my artisian skills. As for cantinas not having entertainers cause you dont macro?? Where are you located? We are a relatively small town yet have plenty entertainers both dancers and musicians. Trust me even customers dislike ppl entertaining afk. True its your choice ...I just dont understand it I guess.

Report me all you want.. I've already made Master, and its none of your business why I have to go afk.

So don't get me wrong.

i don't have a problem with you going afk, or with you macroing. as long as you do them separately. when you combine them, that is a problem.

Its only a problem for you.. which i could care less about. You'll have to go and report every Entertainer you see then, because its built into the game to do so. Have fun, now if you don't mind. *grins*, I'm gonna practice Image Design on my character from my 2nd account on my other computer.

People treat entertainers like healing NPCs because of entertainers that treat themselves like that. That is how it is hurting other players.

There is a limited number of slots on the server. Because you are sitting around in the cantina not actually playing, someone might not be able to login. That is how it is hurting other players.

And not every entertainer AFK macros. Some of us try to actually entertain.

I don't mind AFK macroers but they do slightly annoy me in the cantina. After reading Chessack's post about it being selfish I realize that being annoyed by it can be seen as selfish too...just depends which angle you look at it from.

My stance was that AFK macroers are cool with me, as long as they stay out of the cantina. Buy a player house and set it up as a cantina and get the word out, then afk all day in there.

I guess I should change my stance to if an entertainer is annoyed by afk entertainers then he/she should buy a player house and set it up as a cantina and get the word out, and no AFKers will ever be there, obviously.

/shrug I don't care enough to actually stop playing in the public cantinas. Plus, it makes me look good when there are 10 people in the band, an audience member is obviously trying to get a response to something he is doing, and I'm the only one who does anything to signify that I'm paying attention. THAT is how you get tipped.

So for the AFK macroers: Yes, you do annoy some of us, your fellow musicians. Chalk it up to jealousy (illogical), or selfishness (skewed, but perhaps true) or just that some people are easily annoyed... Fact is it's not a big deal that you AFK macro, it might be a big deal that you annoy others (that is relative really only depends on your views...). So if you don't want to be slightly annoying in a way that is demeaning for you (people /spit on AFKers, and then some) then don't AFK... If you think the annoyed people are wrong for being annoying, then AFK all you want, you have justified it to yourself using your own logic, and no one is going to change your mind.

Don't sweat it, cos SOE isn't stopping it and those of us who are annoyed by it can't do anything to stop you either.

I am new the Entertainment and I have no prob. with macroing or going afk, so long as you are nor AFK for a long period. I will have to walk away from my key board every once and a while to walk my dog and such.

If theres a group in a Cantina and their all Afk, fine, so long as the leader isn't. If you take it upon yourself to lead a group the you should be there to manage the group. I just loged off, and there were two people who couldn't get in because our group leader was not at the computer.
