Thread: Deny Services Poll
No, what if they dont have money for a "tip"?
A tip is something given out of kindness. If you make it to were they can't get healed unless they pay you then there's going to be a big problem with Cantina's and the Soldiers.
Yes.
And its not a forced tip that some people make it out to be. Its just the ability deny services to someone who is being abusive. Will some entertainers try to abuse it ? Sure, but then people will just go to other entertainers who aren't abusing it. Not everything that deals with entertainers is about tips.
Ever heard of "Ignore"? Use it.
It solves the problem quick too.
Yes, I want it. I think Hijo has a problem with the coorespondent choice, more than the deny services.
It shouldn't be used to deny services to those who won't/can't/don't tip. Of course there will be abuses. I have booted people out of groups when they harass customers for tips. We are not beggers, we are not prostitutes, we are entertainers.
One abuseI already seeis people telling other hey I wont train you in XYZ unless you tip me half the NPC cost. Other classes have a tip problem. (BTW I found someone to train that person for free, and I just paid 9k to finish Master Ent)
Yes
i agree that this option is very much needed to deal with harrassers that get away with walking all over us(its pretty verified that /report is about as useful as a screendoor on a submarine) and /ignore just means we cant listen to them, but yet they have the satisfaction of running us into the ground and still use us to heal.
i still feel it should be a band voting system to deny service to a harrasser to help lower abuse of the deny.
one person starts the deny and the rest of the band should get a accept/decline to deny <soandso> from gaining benifits with the vote option not showing to any in band that are afk to witness the harrasment.
No.
My problem is not healing the abusive guest but simply having to put up with the abuse they give the entertainers. I don't believe this will fix the problem.
For instance, I was on Sunrunner the other day and entered a bar. Shortly thereafter, some guy named Dannie O'Riley, the self proclaimed black Irishman, enters the bars and starts yelling at all the entertainers, calling them HO's and B******'s. He got a lap dance from an entertainer earlier that day and demanded to know where she was.
After that, he started abusing one entertainer in particular, and demanded that she duel him. I think she put him on ignore, because she never responded. At any rate, every other warrior in the cantina came to the entertainer's defense and challenged this guy to a duel. He would not accept, and his ranting and raving continued.
Eventually enough people reported him that it appears the CSR's or whoever booted him. While it was unpleasant to sit through, I think that was the appropriate response. Therefore, the denial option is not needed.
Besides, I think it will be used by entertainers to demand tips up front. They can stick a tag on every person that enters the cantina to deny server unless they are paid up front. In effect, the entertainers get to choose who they heal with their performance.
