Thread: afk macroed buffing perfomers is a PRETTY GREAT Solution
Ill just use AFK marcroed buffing dancers/musicians. Its cheaper, faster, and you are not frustrated.
Its sad for the game and the profession, but heh, my wounds will be healed, my battle fatigue restored, and my mind stats fully buffed, without me having to ask 1000 times.
The best it happened to me is 1 dancer who was buffing me Last night, and after 3 mins buffing, he just ran out cantina to kill a poor tef guy and came back telling me 'Im sorry i hope u didnt tip me'.
Well, i had like a 25% buff, i couldnt get 1 DB to get a another one as all my stats were buffed, and i needed to leave for missions. well, thats sad but My mind's made up about this profession, so to speak.
I just know some nice Perfomers on my server, and i'll just stick with the ones i know. I dont really want to have anything to do with this profession anymore, but the ones i already know. I dont think you'll see me anymore again in Popular cantinas.
I'm sorry for your experience, but nowadays, a cantina is the place where people grind to Jedihood. It's NOT a place to look for real entertainers. If you know some from the days cantinas where nice places, /tell those and ask them. Otherwise... well... how about complaining about the Macrotainers ? Why do you think there are no more real entertainers in the cantinas ? Because it's no longer fun. No fun, no playing in cantinas, no people who know how to give a buff and not break it.
None of the real entertainers I know would run out to kill someone with TEF. You know why ? Because they'd lose. They're entertainers, not fighters.
I know you feel bad. But don't blame the victims, blame the Macrotainers.

Why, yes, some people do. Like the performers who are already Masters, who leave themselves performing in out-of-the-way places so that others can get healing...and though most don't realize it, if the performer has /join in their macro, passive buffs.
The real question is, can't people learn to spell?
i m beeing buffed right now by an afk macroed performer, and let me tell you, its so sweet
Its good to not rely anymore on the mood of people

Do you feel that you have a right to a doctor's buff if that doctor does not wish to buff you right that second? How about an armorsmith who doesn't have time to make your custom order? Now, you could argue that entertainers don't use resources, but that does not mean that you are entitled to services whenever you want them. Could you demand an image designer give you a new hairdo?Could you make a creature handler tame your mount? Or would you have to relyon his or her good mood?
For other professions you do have to wait for a 'nice' person to be on his or her 'good' day to do you a 'tremendous' favor. Why is it so odious to you to have to rely upon the mood of an entertainer, as opposed to any other class?
NOw, i go to a populated cantina, see master performers with titles on, or skilled dancers, etc... i ask 25 times, no answer. i used to send tell, but since i nearly had like 1 answer out of ten tells, i dont send tell anymore.
See, theres something about beeing ignored that isnt just 'great'
I still send tells to doctors when im in need. Well for Crafting professions, i usually visit a lot shops, and send an email if i have a special request.
i would answer this thread but it just seems that you came to cause waves and thus u are useless to talk to because you are part of the problem

Funny... if you'd rely on the mood of live people, don't you think one out of fourty would buff you ? Well, you don't have fourty people. You have fourty AFK bots. All "people" left for greener pastures. This game is all about the moods of people, thats why it's an MMORPG. If you don't want to rely on people, buy a single player game. Your problem is not the people, your problem are the bots. If you had met a live entertainer, I'm sure you could have made a deal. That said, needing 5-6 buffs a day, why don't you have entertainers on your friend list ?
