Thread: Are Medic Mods not working?
No, a droid with a medical module should let you heal wounds outside of a hospital/camp.
Perhaps the battery had run out?
Also, you can't heal wounds in the cantina with the droid for some reason. This may have changed with last patch, but I can't tell as I'm not a medic any longer.
No, a medical module will not allow you to do that alone- I believe only a surgical droid will letyou heal outside a camp/medical center -the med module for other droids only lets you heal in a camp/med center and reduces or stops mind/action points when you heal I believe....
Mr.Moo
Moo are you sure?!
I was under the impression that all medical modules allow you to heal wounds outside of a medical centre.
I was also under the impression that the presence of a droid didn't reduce your Mind cost when healing wounds.
And I was also under the impression that the surgical droid is just broken altogether.
Somebody PLEASE clarify
Here allow a novice doctor to explain how droids and medical modules work.
The frame of a droid does not mean anything, it is the medical module that matters. So you can put the medical module in a MSE, a surgical droid, a probot and it is all the same.
When in a medical center someone with medical skills gets a 100% bonus to thier skills. When in a camp you get a bonus related to the level of the camp. When you havea droid with a medical module you get a similar bonus releated to the level of the medical module. If you do not have medical skills already you are not going to get any benifit or use from a droid with a medical module.
Now if you DE want to sell something to medical characters we need droids with a high medical module, and a food/chemical crafting station.
P.S. medical modules do not work in cantinas. This was taken out during closed beta because people would heal both health, action, and mind in the cantina so hospitals were empty.
She was in Mos Espa, and couldnt preform anything healing actions. Wasn't in a Cantina, Med Center, or Camp.
Maybe I just made a defective one.......
Almost correct. A 35 capability would allow you to heal 35% as well as if you were in a hospital or higher level campsite. I know the lower level campsites don't offer the efficiency of a hospital either.

Im having a problem with Med droids that I get less healing with them.
I had some wounds and thought that I would try may new Med level 2 droid out to see how it worked. Pulled it out and with him out did 50% less healing then with him stored. Also a friend of mine who bought on says that his friend who is a doctor was doing about that much less with her droid out.
Anyone seen a reduction with the med module droids out?

The problem is that as long as they are out you use them. You could be in the middle of a hospital but if you have your Med I MSE Mouse out you are only going to heal wounds at 35%. They should really put in a check to determine whether you are in a hospital.
On the bright side, droids with Med VI let the doctor heal at 110% it seems (I want to sit down with a doctor sometime soon and verify this myself since sometimes this information is wrong).
If the point of having a droid is to assist you, then the point of only giving you a skill boost in areas where you don't get a boost (camps and such) is worthless. Yes it would help in a camp, but I only have med skill 1 and my bot should help me not make mistakes and heal me to a better degree. I have just see med style droids as providing serile medical equipment that you would not normally have in the field. In a hospital it would have better access to this equipment and should make you life that much easier. In plain terms if you have a 20% increase based on bot and lets say a 75% because you are in a hospital and your skill is 10% then you should have a 105% increase to your healing ability because you are in a hospital with a med droid. Now they may need to create a more scaled system for doctors, but I only even put med mods in because I want to help those folks heal more. If they don't mean a hill of beans and actually make it worse for them to heal in a hospital environment then why even bother having the droid out in the first place. You can only call them in cities, camps and Residences. Not everyone thinks to have camps with them and not everyone has their MSEor R series bots out all the time.
