Thread: Anyone else get mistaken for a newb?

This has happened a number of times for me now... people see my CL1 and automatically assume I'm new. Anyone else have this? Its kind of entertaining when I think about the fact that I've been playing twice as long as most of them... but its still a bit annoying.

So do I, plus I'm not exactly in newb clothes... some people are just a bit slow on the uptake.

Not only have been mistaken for a n00b with my MDE tag up, I was offered to join a guild when I had my guild tag (RSS) up. No joke. Do they not read what's below our names?

Well that's very simple. In this game, to a newb, you look like a newb if you are not clad in ubber armor, if you don't show up ubber weapons and so on.

So I guess DE like us will always be newb to them )

But I am confident in SOE. One day we will craft CL 70 droidekas and look less newb as only DE will be able to manipulate them )))

I can see it now.

I land in Theed, pull out my Droidika and start to PvP. Once my Droidika start to get low on damage, I call out my two Super Battle Droids to assist it. And along side me, my Battle Droid, shooting anything that gets to close. Then I /yell "Who's the n00b now!" Muhahaha.

But seriously, we should be able to build those and use more than one at a time. At least we could do missions and stuff. Ah, 'tis but a dream for now................cue SOE adding what we want next Publish.

Ooooo, me likey. But once again in all seriousness, we should have something to allow us to take advantage of all the combat missions out there. Over 100 missions were added with RotW and most DEs can't do any of them.

In order to get mistaken for a noob, it would have to be done by somebody who is pretty much a noob themselves. Any veteran knows level doesn't mean anything.

Scylla is pretty small, we don't have many new people.

I find it far more ironic when I shuttle into a city and get banned or hassled because "I may be a bounty hunter," yes that is me, fear the level 7 Bounty Hunter.

Wasn't Greedo a CL 7 Bounty Hunter?

The same happened to me when I got a new account .. they assumed I was a game newbie and tried to buy my barc speeder off of me for an R5 and a starship .. hehe told him I had a DE and a SW on other accounts and I havent heard from him since )

And the other day my fiance and me started new characters on Ahazi to join our Radiant guildmates there and were taken for newbies )

Very funny considering we are now in our 2nd year )
