Thread: So, harvesting droids are completely broken?

I was under the impression that grouped droids would suffer from an overall reduction in the amount of resources harvested due to the "group bug" but I've been hearing from several customers that my 110-rated harvest droids ALWAYS yield fewer resources than if they had harvested themselves. This seems to be true of any level of scout/ranger, grouped or not. So, just to check with the community, is this true for everybody? Is this module now completely worthless?

I was testing my harvest droids with my Master Ranger a few days ago. I used two Probots. One with one combat module and the rest Harvest Modules; and the other with one Harvest Module and the rest combat module. (I don't recall the stats on them.not in game atm).So, noticed a few things..
Both droids did the same dmg at the same speed same CL ect ect ect...
They both harvested the same amount, and that amount was quite a bit less then what my Ranger can Harvest.
AND the number ONE dissapointment, once my droid harvested, my Ranger could not.. so this is what i think:
Harvest Droids are totaly borked

I can confirm that that is the way that droids are working right now. Doesn't matter if they are grouped or not. they will always harvest 50% of what you are capable of harvesting yourself (veghash included).
My 4144 Scout (Scout trapping is broken so I can't get to be a Ranger yet, for lastmonth. Grrrrrr) with the Survival line of Force Sensitive skills. I was getting about 406 Avian meat from level 81 Kaadu's on Naboo recently, with my R3 Harvester droid with +117 harvesting I was getting just slightly over 200 from each of the same birds. Tried it grouped, came up that way. Stored and recalled and left ungrouped and came out same way.
Harvester Droids are definately broken and now I've got e bunch of Harvester droids I refuse to sell because if I do it may make me look like I'm just trying to sell things and not care about my customers.

No way, this is bad. This is even worse then when they were just bugged in a group, at least solo they worked.
Figures, I havn't sold any in a while, and just moved about 20 last week, looks like it's refund time.

Ok, going to be passing this on, want a bit more info/confirmation first though. Anyone who has a chance to test this post your skill, the droid's skill, your harvesting results, the droid's harvesting results, whether you were grouped with other players or not, and whether the droid was grouped as well or not.

I'll see about getting on this boss, as soon as the server comes back up and I get off my duff and build another droid to test this one out with.

I was always thinking it was the droid you didn't want to be grouped with and that being grouped with others didn't matter.

Looks to be working as expected, when not grouped with another PC.
My Creature Harvesting skill is +45
The Droid has a 103 rating (not the greatest, but it works)
With my own skills, I was harvesting 52 Hide off of my target.
The Droid harvested 55 Hide off of a similar target.
I tried thisgrouped with the droid and 3 pets, grouped with just the out droid, grouped with the droid and 3 pets out, ungrouped with the droid and 3 pets, and ungrouped with the 3 pets, but not grouped with the droid.
Didn't try it grouped with a PC, since I'm out in the middle of nowhere atm.

Ok, thought that might be the issue. Though just to be thorough may want to see if harvesting modules are still making the appropriate difference (try a droid with one module and a droid with 6).

Ok that makes sense, didn't know you were grouped with anybody else. Right now, Harvest Droids are only of any use if you are totally alone.

Actually, I don't believe it is grouping with other players that is the problem. 2 different customers ran tests for me, one a low level scout, 1 a master ranger. I asked them to harvest by themselves, then with the droid, then with droid while grouped with the droid. I have to get the specific numbers again but they were ALWAYS getting less with the droid, regardless of being grouped or not. None of these tests were grouped with another player at all. Of course, this is all heresay until I can get the actual numbers for you but I very seriously do not believe this is just a problem of grouping with other individuals.
