Thread: A quick question about stacking modules

I thought I've read numerous threads that said stacking medical and armor modules work. Yet I madean adv probot last night with 2 lvl1 meds and 2 lvl 1 armor, and it had the exact same resist and medical capabilities as a normal probot with 1 of each cheap. Can someone let me know if there's something special that needs to be done, or if it just doesn't work. Thanks

I stack level 4 with level 3 meds for 110 MCR all the time...

It takes a second slot so that's the downside. I usually ask my customers if they want a diiferent set up, they usually Prefer have 2 droids that do specific things the best rather than one that does everything average though =/

Or if you wanted to go the cheating way cant you still use GSMC's to stack multiple modules into one slot? Or has that been fixed?

btw I haven't stacked level 1 med mods in any droids, so I can't say exactly what the combination should result in.

I plan on experimenting with every permientation of modules after I get Master, on every droid that I can and record the results.

To my knowledge it hasn't been fixed, but I refuse to use that exploit.

Agreed ... I dont use it (not even on my own personal droids) not worth the trouble. Also if I were to sell these *exploited* droids to customers they'd eventually get fixed and would be broken ... not sure about the rest of you but I dont want to be building tons of Probots and R5's for free to replace those which I knowingly sold "defective"

On the upside though, cant you make a GSMC and put the med modules in it just to see how they stack (the GSMC will tell you what the level of the med output is once its constructed). Might be easier than actually making the droid.

But I've noticed a difference in MCR depending what droid it's in. I've stated number before, somewhere here while it was fresh in my head. In an MSE the results are less then in an R5 or R4. I think it was (iirc) 35 in a MSE with level 2 and 45 in an R5... that's the reason I want to experiment with specific droids.

Yes it still works. I don't sell droids this way, but I will build my own with this "feature" and usually just MSE droids when I do it. If it breaks I can build another and if the feature is not available then I can build something better.

Here is the stacking maxes:

LVL 6 DATA has 150 max Data slots. Two LVL 4 DATA does the same max at 150. I think two LVL 1 DATA has the same max. I put 5 LVL 4 DATAs into one machine and still maxed at 150.

LVL 6 ITEM has 10 max Item Slots. Two LVL 4 ITEM does the same max at 10. I think two LVL 1 ITEM has the same max.

LVL 6 ARMOR has 40% Med. Two LVL 4 ARMOR has 40% Med also.

You don't "need" 2 level 4's of anything. 1 level 4 and 1 level 3 hit the max on everything... at least in all the droids that I've stacked modules on... including armor btw (1 level 4 and 1 level 3 result in Med 40%, save those specific resources, buy yourself a cache of cheap Iron to use in all the "metal" slots to say steel)

Has it been confirmed that stacking is a bug? There droids that have several armor slots, what are you supposed to put in all of them. If it has been confirmed as a bug/exploit then I don't plan on selling it, but I just want to make sure it's been said and that it's not just speculation.
