Ok folks, in case you haven't noticed, this board has been pretty dead the last week or so. I think it's a combination of the fact that we have a) all got a common cause (no DH) and 2) since they've finally fixed the GDMSC thing, we can't fight about that anymore. My suggestion? Let's come up with something new to argue about.
Here's the idea: Everyone post a suggestions for the new arguments and state your side on it. Then we can all spawn new threads to tell you how wrong (or right) you are and how we all think you are 1)ignorant beyond belief or b) the greatest analytical mind since Alfred E. Neuman.
I'll start:
Topic: Should we be able to name droids?
My opinion: The fact that we aren't able to name humanoid droids makes it pretty clear to me that the devs never intended for us to be able to name droids in the first place. The bug isn't the fact that we can't name them, it's that we can actually name the other types. I for one will not sit still while my fellow DEs not only name their own droids, but teach their customers how to exploit this bug as well! No more naming droids cute little names like "aretwodetwo". I say ban the exploiters!

Topic: Should droid default programming be to "kill all humans"?
Topic: Should we be able to make deactivated droid garbage for display, like in the guild halls? And if so, wouldn't it be our new best seller?
Topic: When we quit the game, should we be allowed for our characters to commit suicide in graphically gruesome ways? I think I would like to be stepped on by a BLL.

Drashk should be back soon. Today I think, right? Well, when he comes back I'm sure he won't like TH's comments about our modules not being useful. He can get all fired up and go on the Correspondant board and get some info from TH.
Info from TH = discussion and arguements on DE forum

we need to get that brilliant person who proposed they add the droid handler profession into the CH profession in here to start an argument, at least it would be entertaining.

I have one for you GnomeAd and I believe it is a very legitimate and valid argument since DE is a pure crafter class. Recently TH answered a question about AFK macroing in Cantinas and how it devalues the classes of Entertainer types seeking fun in the game. What follows is his answer and defense of AFK macroing....(the questions is in green his reply in red).
7. Do you feel that it is acceptable that the role of entertainers is being completely filled by people impersonating NPCs, leaving those who play the class with nothing to do? Do you plan to do anything about this, such as an auto-logout or making healing a more active process?
We understand the nature of this issue. In essence, we can’t prevent AFK people from playing, but one thing we are doing is looking at different ways we can encourage at-the-keyboard play.
(And I know this will come up again, so here is why we can’t prevent people from AFK. Given that this is an online game, there are people out there who are very smart and will learn how to play AFK no matter what we do. It is just the nature of the beast. So instead of keep it so that only high-end computer savvy people can AFK, we make it fair so everyone can do it instead of just an elite few.)
He intimates that because some people will use third party button pushers that all people should have a method around third party button pushers in order to keep it competitive. What he is actually saying is that this can remain fair for combat classes, dancers and healers (except healer crafting). True crafters do not currently have a method in game to place resources in a schematic without third party materials. So by his own definition of availability to everyone as a means to stay fair and balanced, should they not make a way for all crafters to be AFK and grinding through crafting OR just say "hey everyone can use winscheduler because some people will use it". It seems to me that this is just a smoke screen for one profession and it is gonna be true Blunderhead Mantra to give crafters a different answer.

Sumus,
By definition
TH Said = Contradiction
But you can still argue whether the contradiction is fair and should remain in the game.
