Thread: Can some one offer some DE help?
Did you make any droids on your way to master? These are the most basic of questions, and if you had made even a few droids you would know the answer.
Try reading the stickied posts. Try actually crafting some droids. Then come back and ask questions.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. You grind your way to the top, you have the title "Master", but you have no knowledge of your product or its functions.
it'll only take you about 500 units of various low down resources to make every type of module there is, and you can then just add them to MSE droids to test with (another 75 units of metal).
But to play this profession you need to know intimately what the droids can and can't do, and the only real way to find out how they work is to build them. Unlike the other professions, master is not the end of the DE road, knowing the profession is what it takes to be a DE. Good luck matey
You know this makes me very sad. Do NOT be afraid to make mistakes. We have all made mistakes when crafting our droids. That is half the fun of learning how to do what we do. Learning the difference between the metals you can use.
Take your time. Read the stickies. Take initiative to learn.

1. Being that it takes the devs a long time to decide whether or not they even want to fix something, I don't forsee the modules limited anytime soon. My question is since there are 6 (i think) types of data, storage, etc modules; is there a purpose for each type? in other words, what's the difference between a lvl 1 storage mod from a lvl 3 storage mod... except the higher level you go, the harder the resources are to find. Does a higher level storage mod hold more items than the lower levels?
Yes, each module does an inherently different function...and yes, the higher the module rating, the better: (Item1 vs. Item6 means 6 holds more items).
2, The ADV version of the droids offer the ability to put in 4 service modules in it... So you can put a storage, data, crafting station, and give it medical capabilities in the same droid?
Each type of droid chassis has a set number of total modules it can hold. Most chassis also have a "regular" and an "advanced" version, where, typically the advanced version holds more modules than the regular version. The highest number of modules that could possibly be placed in a droid is 6 (Advanced R3 droid). You could theoretically fill all 6 slots with Item1 modules if you wanted (but this would be a huge waste of a droid), or you could mix and match all the modules you want in varying configurations among all the droid modules available. There are some rules to this, butthey'recovered elsewhere and I can't type them all out right now.
3. In BE the creature skins theyput the DNA inhave nothing to do with the stats, but more as the decorative part of the creature.. Is that the same with droids? In other words, can you make any droid skin into a medical droid?
The droid chassis only really determines: 1) what the droid looks like in the end, 2) If it's combat capable or not, 3) If it has a personality or not, and 4) How many total modules it can hold. There are even some oddities in our lineup, like Power Droids... which have innate abilities no other droid can have. A "Surgical" does not have to be a medical droid and, theoretically, a DZ70 could have medical functions if it's creator wanted it so. So, in a roundabout way: DE's aresomewhatsimilar to BE's in that the skins are "skins", but there are many other functions that chassis can and can't do based on their specific type (for another example: our currentProbotscannot have a personality chip).

Experimental effectiveness is the tree you want to experiment on to max ham and such. There's a hard cap in place on the max HAM a probot can have
10 items is the max for storage. also a hard cap
customization doesn't so much dissappear instantly, it's just that it doesn't work at all. sorry.
repairing a broken droid... black bars can be fixed with a repair module equipped droid, as long as it's not in an LE repair droid or power droid. white bars so far can only be healed over time
Ooo, I should also add that since you can only call one droid out of your pad at a time, even if you have black bars on one of your droids, you'll have to know someone else with a repair module equipped droid to fix your droid. Ahhh, the convenience and ease of droid ownership.
