Thread: Chin Up Please!
Been right here all along, even before I was a DE. I've seen them and you (notme!)had some wonderful suggestions and thoughts and ideas of what could be done. So by your post, are yousaying that you don't think it is worth continuing? I would disagree.

Dear god man. Where have you been? We DID that already. for some 7 odd months now we have discussed everything into the ground. We havecompiled lists and suggestions, bugs and dreams. Our old corespondant is still receiving therapy after his term... Our new one is just begining to show signs of abuse.

Did you enter the profession thinking that it was "uber" or something? You came in full well knowing that it had more than its share of problems, bugs, and downright awful implementation, didn't you??
Um... yeah, but we were promised on many an occasion that we were next on the list to be fixed... What rock did you crawl out from under?
You can't be a real DE, you're not bitter and spiteful ![]()

Eventually I'll come out of my jaded and embittered state. Then I'll talk about droid modules, experimentation, droid combat niches, and other such happiness for another 7 months.
Until then... I will continue to complain that the very basic foundation of the DE class is stillborn. I will make snide and sometimes outraged remarks in the face of months of deception and ignorance. And when the corespondant asks, and someone else hase not already cornered the market on what I would consider a good plan, I will post constructivly.
Hehe, good one

That is a positive attitude, especially after all that has happened
No doubt about that these issues have been beat into the ground, but just because nothing HAS been done, doesn't necessarily mean nothing WILL be done
Don't tear up your ticket before the race is over, is all I'm saying.

So your solution to the abyssimal lack of two way communication between the devs and the community, your solution to the non-existance of an overall DE plan on the advent of the "Droid Invasion", is to buck up, be cheery, and keep doing exactly what people have been doing unfruitfully for the past half year?
No I dont think he is saying that exactly, he is trying to get us back on track after the last two huge letdowns (combat droids and Utility modules). He is saying that this is a setback but people in here are intelligent enough to think of new ideas that are work arounds to the stone wall that has been erected before us. In essence a "rally cry" and I have to agree.
I have seen lots of ideas on here that could definately still make this profession fun, and be implementable in terms of the definitions of balance that the devs are always pondering
Like there were lots of suggestions of combat droids making their owners a more accurate shot or increased defense, or did area stuns, or area blinds. These ideas have more of a chance of getting in the game than >CL10 combat droids because they dont do any tampering with the combat metric because it is based on mostly on weapon power and ham. But these ideas have only really been paid lip service to for reasons that I am not sure!
