For those of you who may not have caught up to page 56 if the "In Development: ID #3: Droid Invasion" thread, it appears the "Invasion" is over. Here's a quick link, search for Thunderheart's post on pages 56 and 57.

In the next few weeks we're going to see a whitewash. We'll be getting bug fixes, but if they are still holding to their "no new utility modules as that unbalances...." mantra as well, then nothing worthwhile. As such, I'm saying that unless we start to draw a new lineright here, right nowany content attached to the DE profession is going to get bumped to who-knows-when, most likely.

Here is what I'm proposing. We got the Devs attention only once in this entire ordeal, and that was via a single unified event where the population stood together and said a single message. After that the voices split and chaos ensued. If the DE population is to gain anything out of this, then we have to find that single unified voice once again.

I'm not proposing that we come up with a Plan A) or Plan B) of implimentation on this. I'm proposing a general campaign to demand more content for this profession, and therefore for the SWG universe (everyone can use droids, right ) before the Devs move on. We have to stand up again and broadcast loud and clear to as many people as we can, as often as we can, and where-ever we can. I'm saying that we start rallying and demanding new content for droids until they have actually provided a worthwhilereason to play this profession.

The road won't be easy. It'll take organization, a willingness to stand together as one, and above all communication. They promised us a spectacular 'Droid Invasion' and by george, they better damm well deliver it. That's what we're paying them for, and it is more than owed to this community. It's all accountability, and now we have to press them hard and we have to press them uniformly. Otherwise, they are just going to slip off the hook and we'll be forgotten again, as the DE profession has been since Beta 3. I don't care to wait that long for them to get round to it again.

Now, again, I am not saying we demand specifics from them, merely that they continue their work and actually provide us with more than simple bug fixes. This is a teamwork show here, and if we don't stand together we stand to get almost nothing.

Of course, this also all revolves around update 7 (and eventually 8). The first priority will be to get communication down to us on what will be occuring in update 7. Should the DE population be interested, we can start drawing up portfolios on various campaign methods for more communication over the next few weeks or how to proceed after update 7 (if they actually do talk to us by some strange miracle). From there we can make further calls on continuing with the Droid Unity Campaign or not.

But until then, I want a simple yes/no poll on if you think this is a good idea. The poll worked once before, and I'm always happy to attempt to ride a winning streak But if you don't think this is a good idea, post just no. HOWEVER, Explain your reasoning in another thread, as it will be worth discussing. Regardless of whether you say yes or no, we (or at least I) will not look down on you for it. As always, we are welcome to our own opinions and thoughts, mine being that if we don't act we don't get anything.

Anyhow, I'll leave you all be for the night, and will check in later or tomorrow to see whether the DE population is interested or not in engaging in a Droid Unity Campaign or not. I for one am just not interested in letting chaos tear apart the desires of the people here in this profession.
