Thread: Rally to me!
I already 5-starred you.
However, I do hope that you'll try to represent the DEs in a more...errr...mature fashion.
The Smugglers have every right to be concerned about how this "feature" will affect them. I would be.
However, I think they fail to see that this was (I believe) something of an attempt to uplift droid use on the whole and give DEs a bit of love.
So...they want to basically reverse that love.
There are some valid points being made...but I haven't seen anything yet that would give me reason to say that this change needs to be undone.

Respectfully,
Isnt this just another troll post? I refuse.....

Respectfully,
Change mature ----> odd, and you have a deal!
We beat decay, I sure hope we beat this, my blood just gets a boilin' when people are calling to nerf us who have so little to nerf. They start crying exploit and you can bet im going to be a jack***
A lot of my posts... draw... interesting attention. ![]()
I don't think taunting a class is the way to go about it. LOL
I'll start reading the smuggler boards and adding my 2 cents into some of their threads, to give another perspective on things (and based on recent CH experience, I'll get uber flamed).

Being childish andcondescending is rediculous. Do you want us to be hated as a profession, as the CH already are? Please, don't do this...
Hated by smugglers, loved by everyone else. I can live with that.

Trying to make you more useless? Why? Because we want a bug fixed that nullifies our evasion skill and the whole point to the 'imperial crackdown'? Your'e not happy with the state of your profession so screw everyone else huh? I won't let a poor example like you and some of the others taint the DE community in my mind because I know their are some good DE's here. Just wish they were a little more vocal than the ugly side.
How do you know it is a bug?
You smugglers keep saying that over and over like it's some kind of Zen mantra.
Face it, you just don't know that it's a bug. You'd like to think that it's a bug because you really really want it changed, but you have no confirmation of that at all. Furthermore, there's evidence that it is not a bug, or at the very least that it is an unintended feature (for lack of a better term).
You guys just don't seem to get it. Using a Droid to avoid Imperial scans is a PITA. Yes, it can be done, but most players just aren't going to go to the trouble. Having a smuggler in your group when you're out hunting is BY FAR the easiest and best way to get around the Imperial Crackdown. Allowing Droids to help with that is simply a way of reducing the tedium for Smugglers so that they don't have to help out every person all the time.
Do you REALLY want to be spammed constantly by people who need to go tend their harvesters? Because that's what you're asking for. The people you really care about - high-end combat types - are still going to use your services over that of a droid because a) you're useful in combat, and b) you're SIGNIFICANTLY easier to use, especially in a large group.
I have never known dev to think things through to a final resolution before implementation. However, hiding items inside droids to avoid inspection is a common thing in the extended universe. VERY common. So, I don't see this as some kind of Smuggler game-breaking issue.
Those that do, I feel, are not interested int he betterment of the game as a whole, but are selfishly pursuing their own greed, as if the 'slicing exploit' wasn't enough to get you by.
Let the DEs have this. It only makes sense.
