Thread: How do you experiment?

Hello,

Just wondering how you experiment on droids? The window used to pop up automatically for me, but since the last patch, it doesn't any more. Is there an option to turn experimentation on and off that I am unaware of? Thanks.

SO, I have seen some people say they click to the last box and hit experiment.

Some say they click one box at a time (1 point) then experiment.

I personally have been clicking to the most boxes that stil give me 0% ..Usually 4 or so skill points , then using the remainder the next time.

Is one way better than another?

how do YOU do it ?

I currently have 7 experiment points, I always use four and then three, if there's that much room for experimentation. I find that I fail too much when I load all 7 points at once, and even then, my successes seem better with the 4-3 system. /shrug Find what gives you good results and stick with it.

I go 6 the first time... 3 the next.... that usually always maxes it out and leaves me with 1 left for efficency.... The more you expriment on something the higher the complexity goes.... If you are going to make a run of 1000 of something then you want the complexity of the item as low as possible to kept from haveing to run one factory for 2 days... 2 of my factorys have been running for 25 hours now for parts for photon grenades... I'm Only building 500 Photons so I'm not even running 1000 items... Took me 24 hours to run 1K of projectile feed mech. .... You probably know what I'm building now so that is just my take on this...

I hand craft all of my final weapons, and I have found that each schematic has it's only little quirks as to what the optimal point assignments is. Laser weapons always three at a time. Some schematics, 2 at a time does the best. Just experiment with different numbers till you find a method for a schematic that give's you the most consistent great successes.

3-2-2

I seem to have the chance at getting the highest % increase with this.

2-2-2-1 if it's a high complexity item that is kicking my butt.

I suspect (Without being sure) that when you experiment a lot of once, it is the same as when you put in 1 and 1. Lets say you put 7 at once into damage, the system then rolls for each of those seperatly. Of the 7 you get a moderate, great, great, good, moderate, good, very good. The end result shows as a 'good success', but it contains some moderates as well.

If there is any difference in how many good or not so good experimentations on the way when doing all at once or seperatly, I dont know.

Im only tier 4 experimentation, but to me it seems that the components come out about the same wherever way I do it. When it makes a difference is when you have materials that 'cap out' and you could have points to spend elswhere, and you ould have more points if you can hit that cap with say 5 great sucesses

I usually just do 4 & 3 to keep the complexity down a bit.

Another question though.....where do y'all normally spend the experimentation points? Damage, Durability, Efficiency, etc...?

Hi everyone....

I was just wondering what technic works best on experimentation....

For example: I used to click on 1 box of damage then hit the experiment button then repeat.

I have just recently started clicking on 3 or 4 of the boxes in 1 catagory at a time and then hitting the experiment button.

What are your thoughts. Does it matter?

Thankx
