Thread: Stacking lvl 4 components...

Two lvl 4 med components make a lvl 6 - i.e. 110 Med capability
lvl 6 Item storage is 10 items? How many is lvl 4 - 7 items? can you stack two lvl 4 Items to get 10?

I am 3,0,0,4 DE (actually dropped back from master) I can't make 110+item+craft (if I buy food craft)?
Guess my question is those that take Package Sets (two lvl 4 components) - one of those sets is 110 med ability?

Last q: Any website with good schemtics? I used swg.allakhazam.com for Architect but their DE schematics have a lot missing...

Thanks!

Lvl 4 is 6 items; yes, you can stack two to get 10 items

I think you are asking if you lose the ability to make 110 Medical+10 Storage+Crafting by using level 4 modules.

Yes. That is the trade off. While a lower level DE can stack together 2 level 4 medical modules to equal the level 6 medical module produced by a Master the trade off is that the droid then cannot hold as many types of modules. Back when people could nest cluster modules and place them in slots designed for general service modules this was not much of a problem and it limited the advantages of level 6 modules but now that you can no longer do that there is a definite benefit to them.

Thanks both. You got it - was asking if am missing something - and qustion really should have been:

I don't care (does anyone) about 10 item storage - can I have 3 module droid (at 3,0,0,4):
110 med (2 modules), storage (6 is fine) and crafting (food)? Guess that be 4 modules? But am confued with Package Sets in some droids...

Thanks.

Yeah. That would be 4 modules, but you could do Medical 110 and Food/Chemical crafting in an R2 unit or an advanced surgical droid.

The advantage am MDE would have is they have to option to place in a third type of module (Storage, Droid Repair, General Crafting, etc) or to use a simpler chassis (R4, advanced MSE) to get the same effect.

FYI, you can stack two level 3 med modules for an MCR of 110.

General Droid Module Socket cluster is three modules. So you can put two level 4 med modules and a crafting station then add two level 4 item storage modules when you craft the droid. Put these in ADV R2 and you get a nice med droid.

Last thing - where is the option to craft that Harness (what skill - don't tell me Master DE)?!

The "harness" is where you place a normal droid module. The wording can be a little misleading at times.

I am an engineer iRL but I swear I can't figure out DE... On the other hand I did Master Architect, Pistoleer, Creature Handler, Entertainer just fine and I've never done anything like that iRL... Hmmm

General Socket Module Clusters are gained at Expert Droid Production, so you should be able to make them.

also keep in mind that publish six has broken the armor modules. armor modules no longer stack like all the other modules do. in fact armor modules do not stack at all right now.

I don't see why would you need any armor on any droid other than Adv. Probot (Master DE item), therefore I don't use any armor.
