Thread: Droid Experimentation Broken Yes or No??

Then what skill tapes work to make the infamous "12 point" DE?
Thats still DE Experimentation. +20 in tapes will get you an extra 2 experimentation points, but there just isn't a whole lot to experiment on.

Ehm... +20 in tapes? Means +1 with +10 in tapes? That's not the case. I was under the impression you need +20 in tapes to gain +1 experiment point.
So to become a +12pt crafter, you'd need +20 experimentation in tapes (+1) as well as +20 assembly in tapes (also +1).

For each ten points of experimentation tapes you have, you recieve 1 point of extra experimentation. Normally, the cap for a Master DE is 100. But with +20 experimentation in tapes you can go above that to 12 experimentation points. Hence a 12 point crafter. As far as assembly tapes, I was unaware that they added any points other than giving a better chance at a "great" or "amazing" success.
Assembly does not add experimentation points, but it does decrease the chances of a crafting failure. What I am unclear on is what skill (Assembly or Experimentation) affects getting an Amazing Success during experimentation.
Hmm... As Crafting Master (4414) I start with great successes.
Have yet to see any failure *hehe*
** Edited
Just checked my total numbers:
I'm a human.
DroidAssembly Bonus: 36
Droid Experimentation Bonus:11

This information is incorrect. + Experimentation is the only stat that adds to Experimentation points. Best not to post if you do not know, some newer players might not know the difference between good information and bad.
