Thread: ok... I apologize in advance....

The issue here is that we make requests for changes, additions, etc., that require an amount of thought on the Devs side. They actually have to figure out if something is or is not possible (and then how to do it), etc. That takes time.
Dont you think 8 months is enough time TK?
Lets be charitable, and just talk about the list you provided last month. Is a month not long enough?
For whatever reason, the desire is not their on the devs parts. They comment all over the forums on totally off the wall things including speculative "it would be cool" features that have a snow balls chance in hell of getting done. Why not here?

The DE boards are just too rough a part of town for them, I guess. I know they read these boards...but posting here only seems to get more negativity against them and less constructive/positive feedback and such.
I know why they don't like to post...but I'm not officially worried about it as much as they are, I guess. /shrug

Respectfully,
Granted commenting on the myriads of ideas that occur here is more than time consumeing, and the majority of the community isnt pro-dev (and for very good reason). Things like the hybrid proposal, patch 7 & 8 reception not only warrent but demand some sort of action from the developers, period.
TK, im not sure if your feeling the mood here, so here it isin simplest terms WE FEEL HELPLESS!!! We are in the dark, theres nothing more frusterating than the apperent vacume between us and development. It dosent do us an ounce of goodif they know whats going on here, if we are going to advance its imperitve to hear from them, know there solid criteria, the angle there comeing from, and thereso called vision so that we may share in there perspectivein order to constructivlycontribute in an effective manner. We're shooting in the dark here. There needs(by needs i mean there positivly has to be under any and all circumstances) correspondance between us and the developers as soon as possible. We are at a vital point in DE history, the hybrid rejection has put us all into a state of emergency. To say they dont have time, or there buisy, or whatever is a cop-out argument, the situation here is urgent and demands attention. A derect response isnt that hard, to take an hour out of any day is plenty of time to give us what we're asking for, info. For now, i dont care about combat droids, utility, improvment... all i want is info.
TK thanks for posting here. I'd rather have you than no one at all, but you should know your also aggravating the situation as much as helping it. With all due respect of coarse, every question you anwser 50 more are asked, and your rebuttels only address a certain context of particular argument, demonstrate spin which only frusterates many people, and leave most questions anwsered in an unsatisfying manner. Just so you dont wonder why many of us are so agitated... This is not a flame, this is an observation. Polimics excused.

I agree...that's why I have the engine going on getting actual info flowing in both directions. This might mean that the answer is going to be negative. On occassion, positive.
And....on occassion, I'll hopefully be able to drop some suprise good news on you too.
TK, im not sure if your feeling the mood here, so here it isin simplest terms WE FEEL HELPLESS!!!
Yup...that's why I'm trying to get info out to you as well as get things going for us with them.
We are in the dark, theres nothing more frusterating than the apperent vacume between us and development.
Hey...that's ME! In regard to their recommendations, the Corrs. are meant to be the info gathers, profession reps. and then report back the official info. It's often been for us the last item that hasn't been working as well as we'd all like.
I intend to change that (the Gorantoth official answers thread is a start in that direction).
It dosent do us an ounce of goodif they know whats going on here, if we are going to advance its imperitve to hear from them, know there solid criteria, the angle there comeing from, and thereso called vision so that we may share in there perspectivein order to constructivlycontribute in an effective manner.
Yup...I've said basically the same thing myself. I know why they are less able to post here with 'hints', so they want to rely on me somewhat (as they should) to be the conduit for those kinds of things. You all talk to me, I talk to them...make the case, etc., and then report back to you with findings.
Since they have to often look into things that take time to consider, it just means to get you the info can take more time than any of us would want.
That's why I'm trying to speed up the clock (and, yes, I realize there IS no "try").
We're shooting in the dark here.
Not anymore. Now we have a somewhat more focused path. With JustG's roadmap for changes leading up the SE release, we can get little things and bug fixes sprinkled in about, etc.
We can get proposals working for how factioned combat droids and/or DC would really look and play out. If the Devs state that DC is the best option for balance, then I say we fill it the way WE want it (or as close as possible). Turns lemons into lemonade, so to speak.
Some of you may find that kind of statement to be 'spin' or me being an apologist. Not so. It's simply the best way I can view positive things happennig for DE and droids moving forward...now that I've had a chance to get some perspective.
There needs (by needs i mean there positivly has to be under any and all circumstances) correspondance between us and the developers as soon as possible. We are at a vital point in DE history, the hybrid rejection has put us all into a state of emergency.
I don't know about "emergency", but no...it's not fun to have to be back at square one. No one knows that better than I.
To say they dont have time, or there buisy, or whatever is a cop-out argument, the situation here is urgent and demands attention. Hmmmm.....okay. I'll see what I can do (and have been since I turned blue).
TK thanks for posting here. I'd rather have you than no one at all, but you should know your also aggravating the situation as much as helping it.
I'm trying not to...seriously. What I'm trying to do is move things forward instead of us focusing on something that won't bear fruit in the long run. It's better for us to focus on something we can really sink our teeth into and has a change of seeing its way to Live (be it from Gorantoth's list or any other proposal/idea).
It makes the most sense to me to try to consider the roadmap the Devs have laid out, leading up to SE, as a way to pick smart changes, fixes and additions that will relate to the theme of the publish (Smuggler droid for Smuggler revamp, faction combat droids for GCW revamp and so on).
With all due respect of coarse, every question you anwser 50 more are asked, and your rebuttels only address a certain context of particular argument, demonstrate spin which only frusterates many people, and leave most questions anwsered in an unsatisfying manner.
I'm sorry if I don't lay it all out for you better or enough. As Bones once said to Spock....."Nobody's perfect."
Respectfully,
TK I admire your contined positivity.
The facts are we are having 2 publishes that dont amount to a chef revanp. They were useless - now they are very useful
Apologise for that if you can, and I dont mean that harshly..just explain why a totally broken profession can be more or less fixed in one publish, and we can't be.
Explain it, ask them all you like, but explain it.
And stop making excuses, stand up and be shot down if needs be, God man have you no pride? Let them fire you, they will have a damned hard job getting any of us behind anyone else.
I am really at a complete loss to understand the Brutal neglect.
You optimits... your practicaly s****
I'm probably not the one to talk to here, im a passionate man. And passion almost as bad as optimism when it comes to objectivity. The Sony SWG DE message boards arent home to many of you, the majority of its residants dont share your sunshine and smiles. How do you do it?
I'm not accuseing you of ineptitude, anything but. To deal as correspondant to one of the whinyest, bothered, and vocal communities, people like me constantly lapping at your integrity, and on top of that wear a smile, wow... What perscription drug are you on? Can i have some?
I think your doing a fine job. However i recognize the limits of your job discription. Im not saying your not doing enough, im saying your job isnt enough. Im sure you agree it would take 10 of you to deal with the content informationsupplied on this boards every day. This is exactly what i mean, we need alittle more TLC. Its fine, but not satisfying to get your message in a bottle every so often. And im sure you send some stuff back. But this is an invisible process. Theres no evidance assuming the reception of very much info. We have problems, its obvious. But whats happening here is some sort of ivory tower effect, we're not under the impression that there listening. I think its imperitve we speak to some athority if not to reassure that there still there, that they are infact know our community position.
If what your telling them is as suger glazed as what your telling us, no wonder we still suck!
The way your talking to us, the things your saying, its as if your under the impression there nothing wrong at all. This IS a DE red alert, theres some critical mass slowly comeing. Youll either get a bunch of violent DEs or no DEs at all, well other than the occasional nieve schlep like me.
We have collective dissatisfaction with your bosses product, we have collective dissolsion with your bosses promisses, we have collective dissapointment at your bosses solutions. This is a problem, I just want to make sure you know this. And i want to know with ABSOLUTE certainty that your bosses know this too.

And here is the Core issue, do they know?
And if they do know, why dont they react. Any software company in the world would have to react if it wanted the product to continuue. Now the forums are supposedly open (I can't try it) how will a prospective DE feel? unless he listens to Jenden of course (Mr smiley/happy)I have a theory about Jenden, I dont think he is a real player (a dev in disguise), or if he is a real playerhe lies about his umm..maturity. (love ya Jenden really)
So, bad form I know but its too late for being nice:

Jenden is real, I saw him once.
Of course it was foggy, and my camera lense was dirty so the picture is blurry but it was Jenden!
Jenden it might have been, but that still dosn't prove he's not a dev in disguise ![]()
