Pretty soon. I was unsure of how many we would be able to complete. There are some pretty neat modules and we've increased the potential power on the combat modules pretty significantly.

Great, so now my entire stock of combat droids is gonna be outdated (again) come pub 8? I really wish there was more advance notice for this kind of stuff as I'm gonna be stuck with quite a few. Oh well, time for a firesale! At least he seems to hint that there are more modules coming than the four originally mentioned.

Yea...that's not a problem you shouldcomplain about.

Basically, we will get some 'combat adjust/balance', etc. in addition to whatever modules end up being 'locked' for Publish 8.

[Edit: The area in yellow is my initial 'take' from what TH stated to Audio. I do not KNOW this will be happening, nor have they stated to me that this is/has happened. I'm trying to clarify that statement from him right now.]

I told you all to keep your chins up...now you're starting to see why. Let'shope the changesin the works hold up better than the Falcon's hyperdrive.

Will all be perfect and finished in one Publish? No...but they are listening and moving us forward.

...more to come when I know more...

Hmm. I just finished folding a factory run of combat clusters. 1000 droid brains --> 1000 combat modules --> 250 combat modules + 250 combat clusters. And the clusters are CR 313's. Not sure why I did it. I usually just ware house components long term until I use them up. That usually takes 6 to 9 months to consume inventory of parts. Did I just waste some of the best resources I had or will these still be good for building droids after the publish?

Exactly what I did, I'm hoping that the end result from the module rating is the tweak, not changing the range that the modules can reach.

The new combat module system will probably be 1 CR point per droid brain installed :-)

Well...this would be good to know. I don't know exactly how the 'tweak' is supposed to happen, so maybe we should get unified on this.

Should it be:

- Increase combat module rating cap?

- Tweak/add ability to experiment Combat Rating at the Cluster crafting stage and/or the deed stage?

Maybe it would help for them to know where we stand on this.../shrug (I'm asking them too, right now, by the way).

He said increased the power of the modules. They could still use the same rating system, just produce different results. ....at least I hope that's what they're doing.

I just put up a post on the Corr. boards to find out how they are thinking this may/will happen. Increasing the power of the modules is one way to go, I guess. If I get more details back on this situation, I'll let you know.

Hopefully, this will help us to raise our combat market from lower-end to mid-end. In the longer term, the high-end/end-game market is likely only something we'll get into with CL10+ droids. For now, we'll see some 'band-aid' adjustment till that's implemented (at least, that's the feeling I'm getting).

I'd favor keeping the existing rating system and changing the end result of the final assembly of the droid using them.

Why take something positive finally coming our way and poisoning it by penalizing those of us who did factory runs of components prior to this announcement? Although I don't know what to say to the guys who actually did factory runs of finished droids.

I just don't feel I can take any more bad news right now.

sigh. i'm happy to see the droids getting a boost. i'm still upset that SOE keeps nerfing my products right after I make them and not giving my any warning about it. It looks to me like 1 million credits worth of droids on my vendors are all going to be obsolete.

Can someone tell me when they will finally stop nerfing existing products so I can get back to running my business again?!?

I think your crates will be ok. As TH said before crates 'insta-craft' items. And it seems that crates remeber what you experimented on, and with how many points. So it would remeber that you have maxed out the damage, so what ever number they make the max, when you pull from the crate you will get the 'new' max.

It depends on how they do the change... if they just raise the base quality of the droids then deeded droids should see the change. Same thing would probably happen with changing the CR (since it seems that is what is recorded until the deed is tamed). Now if they change ranges or add different experimental values, then any existing deeds are screwed.
