Thread: Armor 5 and 6
Spork_Maul, I dont know how long its been since you've practiced DE, but armor does work.
In an ADV. Probot with 2 armor mods, you can place 2 level 4 armor moduals and get Medium Armor, 40% resist all.
In a Basic Probot, place 1 level 6 armor modual and you will get Medium Armor and 40% resist all.
The level 5 armor modual give's Medium Armor however the resist is lower, dont remember what it is atm. Something like 24% all.
Granted, its not what it use to be, but Medium Armor with 40% resist all, makes for a decent low-mid level tank. Use mine on Lok even. It does well.

Oh, one more thing i'd like to point out. Medium Armor and 40% resist all is the maximum armor value we can get. So, placing 2 level 6 armor moduals into an ADV. Probot will do you no good.

We need to make sure we get this on Grantoths list of things not working. I would like to see this get addressed.
Humm... I must have missed something then. Because I though that even though the armor rateing has always been listed in the droid discription that part of the 'fix" was to disable the armor capabilities of the Probot.
Has this been tested? If so maybe a Probot is only mostly junk instead of total junk. I guess I will have to take a look at some new probots.

Disabling armor was a hotfix from way back. It happened at the same time as the HAM nerf. The last big updated (Aug 13?) re-introduced armor in NEW droids. Old droids (pre big patch) still have no armor as far as I know. But that could just be because DEs stopped adding armor to droids since it did nothing (because of the hotfix).
In short - armor works now.
You would think that if a droid that has 2 armor mod slots, then the armor mods should stack.
Even level 6 armor mods.

If so, why add the option?
I'm not 100% sold on the concept that modules are suppose to stack at all. Maybe the second slot is because they plan on (eventually) releasing other defensive modules.
After all, it is a defensive droid module slot, not an armor slot.
