Thread: OK, I've decided. I do not support MSE suicide bombers.
But stop to think about it. Those aspiring MDE (like myself) will finally have something to sell. Those months that I spent grinding worthless mouse droids now have a place on the market. One time use bombs. I know everyone hates the mouse droid by the time they get to blueprints 2. What better way to send them to hell then Kamikazee a night sister rancor. The joy I will get seeing the stupid little thing blow into a million pieces just by looking at something like a gnort.
Overall I do think it is a stupid idea, but they are giving us something to sell. Granted after most of us vowed to never build one more stupid Mouse droid again.
That is probably the biggest killer of this patch it adds some stuff but almost none if it will make for new sales.

Combat droids are not really a good solution for a crafting class.
If they were to concentrate on making the ones you have already bug free and worth something to everyone it would go along way to helping the class.
Split droids into 2 classifications combat/utility
Utility wouldnt count against number of pets out.
The probot needs a minor boost, with the proposed CH changes all non-ch will only be allowed 1 lvl 10 pet, if mounts dont count towards pets like some CH are asking for then the probot will be wanted.
Its time they started taking the droid engineers problems to heart and fix the class.
Its just a machine, it would be no different than a gernage or something explosive of that nature.
No, it turned tail and ran, because it is an AI. An admittedly limited AI, but at least with an instinct for self-preservation.
Of course, I AM using terminology from current events... I think it spices up the conversation a bit. :-)
You are correct in saying that it turned it's mousey little tail and ran. But think about this: AI is simply programming. We are Droid Engineers. We can easily change that programming to suit our needs. A protocol giving you lip? Program him to be nicer. An R2 slicing into unwanted (or wanted) bank accounts? Program him to cut it out. A mouse with a sense of fear? Program him to be as vicious as a rancor.
The results of a vicious MSE may not be the most desireable, but it'd sure be funny to watch. Imagine if that mouse in the movie suddenly started repeatedly bumping into Chewie's feet. It'd be hilarious if he just punted the thing into the wall. And it would simply be a matter of programming the mouse to move towards threatening objects rather than away from them.
What's the use of calling outselves Droid Engineers if we aren't allowed to have a little creative liscense when Engineering our Droids?
What would have been a better Idea would have been MSE with Anti-personnel mines. These MSEwould have a limited amount of mines it would drop then when something walked into them, Bammo. This would be a better idea then the exploding MSE as it givesthe impression that the droid is doing something other then just running up and exploding.
This could be interesting also because you could reload your MSE with more mines (purchased from Weaponsmiths or DEs) and keep making mine fields. Additional you could put a module in that allows the MSE to clear mines. It will not allow you to recover mines, but will clear a field.
This idea will at least give those who want an additional meaning to their little MSEs and not upset those who say Droidsare beings also.
By the way Intelligent Beings do not kill indiscriminately, something humans should take to heart.
I dont like MSE's blowing them up sounds great to me... ill admit its breaking some pretty heavy "Star Wars" cannon if they do this though.
