Oooh man, I don't think other crafting professions will be happy with anyone pushing for MA dependencies. I'm not touching that with a ten foot pole.

Come on... I dare yah!

What about moving the electronics components up to novice DE? More business for DEs, and I can get rid of master artisan then.

Don't worry Ackis, I've got your back. I just posted on that thread, updating your list with another 20 DE items that either rely on the MA parts, or rely on our parts that also rely on the MA parts.

Ok, one thing I really like is this "list" of dependent items. Most people really have no idea at all how dependent we are on MA.

Can we post that list in our FAQ when it's complete?

Actually the idea was to break the need fror Master Artisan from Droid Engineer. As i have been climbing DE this week and building one of everything. I can tell you that not being a MA is a huge problem with being a Droid Engineer. And if Master Artisan is going to be such a component of DE. Then it really should be an elite profession off of Master Artisan rather then off Engineer.

You'd think it should be, but then people would be yelling that it's not fair that you have to learn how to sew and cook and dig dirt to build a better droid.

But then you would say: Why do I need to learn to mix drinks in order to build memory modules and control units?

Heh, good point Dom. But we rely so heavily on the MA parts (41 or more of our schematics require them in some way or another), that we are basically the only Elite profession while not actually being fully elite (we don't have master as a prerequisite).

I've started blowing DEs horn on the artisan board.

Take a look and comment... right now Master Artisan is pretty much needed by DEs. What else could MA be used for?

It's bad when you have 2 factories, 1 is for MA parts, 1 is for droid parts. LOL

It's even worse when you're considering a third factory... I currently run two, and they're mostly always going. One primarily makes electronics, the other primarily makes droid components, and occasionally either one might get stuck onto an order of arakyds or seekers.

The other day I found myself waiting for two runs to end so I could start two more runs, and that's when I seriously began considering a third. Yeesh.
