Thread: DE content in todays patch......
The Live servers should be coming down to begin the patching process. Since they will be down for a little while, I decided to wrap up some of the information that I have already listed, and list a few things that I haven't
1) Probots are getting a slight boost in performance. Their attack damage has increased an average of 20 points, but their attack speed has also increased to an average of 2.45. Its hard to accurately judge how much of an improvement this is, but I can say that with the non-CH pet changes that are also included in this patch, the Probot will hold a bit more interest for some.
HAM 819 0% Exerimentation Effectiveness
Speed 2.45
To Hit 0.21
Damage 60 - 80 (69 - 85)
HAM 824 45% Exerimentation Effectiveness
Speed 2.42
To Hit 0.22
Damage 70 - 80 (71 - 86)
HAM 828100% Exerimentation Effectiveness
Speed 2.4
To Hit 0.22
Damage 70 - 80 (72 - 88)
2) The Incap animations for the Probot have changed. When ever a Probot is incapped, it will now stay in its disassembed state until it stores. This may not be a big issue, but the added touch looks very nice.
3) The combat animations for Protocol units was updated. This animation change just makes it so a Protocol droid will now run off when ever it is engaged in combat. I haven't tested all of the personality chips, butif I don't miss my guess, each one will have a programed response, when ever the droid is attacked. The Protocol droid that I had installed a Worshipful Chip on went running and proclaimed something about how My master will watch over me and protect me. (Sorry, I don't remember it off hand and I don't have any Adv Brains to build a new one atm.)
4) The attack command has been removed from all non-combat droids. This means that you will no longer be able to stand back and command a BLL or Power Droid to attack something and then watch the droid run for the hills. I'm really going to miss seeing my BLL, the most powerful droid in the game, run off and listen to my Power Droid go "gonk gonk gonk' all the way home. ![]()
5) The report that I made about pets/droids storing after they were out of range was nothing more than a bug. Droids, and pets, now function as normal and will still be around even after you travel to a diffrent planet. The AI pathing issues are more prominent, but this could due to the fact thatI hardly walk around anymore, since riding around on a vehicle rocks.
6) You can now put more than one crafting station into a droid and not have to worry about one of them not working. I have a few droids will all 4 crafting stations installed, and I haven't found a single problem using the stations. You can even stand right next to another droid with the same crafting station, or a private/public crafting station. The one problem that I have with this going live right now, is the Cluster Module Exploit.
Ok...thats the good news. Now for a bit of bad news. I've already /bugged these issues. I suggest thateveryone /bug any of the following issues that they see, after the patch.
1) It would appear that Creature Handlers can still call out their max number of pets, dictated by the skills that they have, and a droid as well. No word has been given, that I am aware of, as to whether or not this was intended. A MCH can call out 3 pets and 1 droid.
2) Item storage modules are functioning like Data Storage modules and are allowing for Factory Schematics to be drag and dropped to the droid. This results in the Schematic being stored in the Item storage. Yet one more blow to the Data Storage Module.
3) The Droid Customization Tool appears to be bugged currently. I haven't been able to colorize any of the droids that I have built or 'tamed' recently. I can't even colorize droids that have been in my datapad, but were never colored. I can however color any droid that has been previously colored, even if the color has faded away. I had a chat witha SWGQA over the weekend and was informed that the DEVs are aware about this issue and are working on it.
Well, thats about all that I have been able to find and with the lack of accurate patch notes, it sometimes takes trial and error to find out what has been included. There have been a few very positive changes with the publish, one of which are the changes to our brother profession, Bio-Engineer. Because of the changes that I have seen with BE, even though the new system still needs work, I have a sense of renewed faith that positive changes are install for our profession in the next coming updates. Until then.....
Thanks for the info Drashk. I'll pass on the info to those in game as i see them.
Twoquestions, will pre-patch probots have these stats or only ones that are crafted after the patch? And will do the pet buffs still work on probots?
Great work! Thanks again.
OsarpAdoo, I didn't hitBlueprintssoon enough to build any of the pre-patch Probots and there aren't many people that own droids, let alone Probots, on Test Center. Any answer that I give about whether or not the Probot change will be retroactive would only be a guess. If they are changed, there are going to be some really upset owners of the Pre-nerf Probots.
I just asked someone to test out Embolden peton their droid and sure enough, it is still bugged. At least someone got a kick out of being able tobeserk their R2 ![]()
I would say being able to call a droid and pets is a good thing, not a bad thing.
Nobody wants to be limited to one "pet" regardless of type.
I'm not sure if you understood what it is that I wrote. With the 1 pet, droid, or perk limitation that is going in with this patch, MCHs will still be able to call 3 pets and 1 droid, where they should only be able to call their 3 pets. As of this patch, the only way to call out a pet and a droid is if you are a Novice CH or beyond.

Thanks for the info! I have some renewed hope for the profession and going to start making some probots tonight since they are finally comparable to a non-CH pet...actually more in demand since they have added features such as crafting stations and medical centers.
FINALLY! DE's got a fix without a hidden nerf!
1) Confirmed live

you know that the HAM that shows in the datapad isn't correct, right? If it's an advanced probot, then it is default 820, no higher, no lower, if it's a non-advanced probot, it's 810. If you don't believe me, call your droid, select him, and hover over his HAM bars.
Droids before this fired once every 4 seconds, correct? even tho they said like 1.32 was their speed. If they currently fire at 2.4 seconds, then thats the biggest improvment. instead of 50 damage every 4, it's 75 every 2.4? if so, then thats not too bad of a boost, but still crappy compared to pets, not kreetles or that stuff, but still pretty lame.
