Just giving a heads up that the next Inter-Server Droid Engiener Association Meeting is the Sunday after next, 18 January. By that time we have guaged that we will know more about the direction the profession is going, and will be welcoming in our new correspondent.

The agenda for the meeting has not yet been set, and if you would like to suggest a topic then get in contact with me and we'll see about adding in some time for you to speak.

We are believing these next few meetingswill becritical. It'll be the only time that we as a whole will be able to decide in-game how we are going to proceed with the new modifications and the scope of which our profession will be changing. It is important that we get together before all the last of the changes are in place, as it'll give us the only oppertunity to become truly unified in our efforts. If we wait till after, then the chance is lost, not to mentionwe'd be too fractured to organize up a strong enough rally anyway.

So, Getting back. The time is 8 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST on Sunday, 18 January (Sunday after next). The place is server Ahazi, and the location is Vreni Island, Corellia. For this we want EVERYONE there. Novices, masters, any and all array of droid engineers. If you don't play on Ahazi, then create a temporary character there and fly it over to Vreni.

More information will be published in here as it is created. Feel free to ask any questions you like on this thread

Hi! I'm on my way to Master Droid Engineer, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make the meeting. I've also missed the last two meetings. Will there be a chat log available for me to read through? If so, where are the chat logs for the last two? Thanks!

Sweet. Going to save me the trouble of finding a Bounty Hunter and tracking them down. Be sure to let Agli know as well. Last I heard he has a list that is a bit more current than mine.

Actually, a BH might be a good thing. I'd really like a master BH to a) comment on the seeker problem and b) explain to me how these droids I make work... maybe a mini-faq.

Ackis,

Why not just use the Search tool (in-game) to find a BH and chat with him/her about it.

(note: sometimes the best answers are also the most obvious.)

There is an outdoor ampitheatre that's near the shuttle port.

Just head toward town (on the 'path') and then make a left. You will run right into it.

Providing I don't get trapped by a strange game bug inside a starport landing zone for 3 hours again, I should be able to set up some helper droids to direct traffic from the shuttleport.

As far as chatlogs, The first one was posted a loooong time ago, and I have no idea where that thread would be now. Sadly we forgot to log the second one, so there's no record of that.

But the best way to experience the meeting is by showing up. While the boards are interesting for exchanging views, I have found that it is best to express ideas in-person. Allows people to actually get to know the other person and see where they are coming from. One can't 'connect' with a person on a forum, but they can when they are listening first-hand to their speech, it seems.

I will forward this info to my contact list on Shadowfire, as out-dated as it is, and to the hand full of DE on Test Center. I will also forward this to QA in hopes that they can show up, or pass the info along to the appropriate sourcesas well.

Here's the link to the chat log from the 1st ever inter-server DEA meeting:

I actually did log the 2nd inter-server meeting. I need to put that together and try to post it (I'll do that shortly, so that it's on record.)
