Thread: INTER-SERVER DROID ENGINEER MEETING 18 January!
As usual, I wont be able to attend 
But I promiss I'll read the log

I've been approached a few times about setting up a Wanderhome DE coalition. I'm all for it, but it's hard to find the time to do it... I know there are a few others like this for servers, and this meeting is an attempt for a game wide coalition so to speak. I'm wondering how have you managed to find the time ti setup the associations/coaltions/etc. and if they've been worthwhile.
Second, have any DEs from WH been to one of these inter server meetings?

Oh, I know a lot of BHs, however my in-game time is taken up with a lot of other things. Having droid orders to do, restocking of vendors, factory runs, the numerous tells asking for help/advice/training/orders, etc..

All ask Tanks a thing or two about it and see if he might have the time to swing by the meeting. I haven't really chated with him yet, but he knows his shtick and seems like someone that wouldn't mind helping out.

Taking it one step further, would it be possible to attempt to standardize the prices across all the servers for BH droids and BH droids alone? Finding out what is fair to both classes (the DEs who have to make them and the BHs who have to buy them)?

If you want to take the reins, you'd be an excellent choice to run the Wanderhome DENet.

I'll have to bow to TheWoody's opinion on this, as he is really the driving force behind the first DENet. Once you reach a critical mass, and other DEs understand/use the system, I suspect that putting out the mass mails might only take you about 15 minutes or so daily. However, he can answer this issue FAR better than I.
You might consider finding out if another 'career' DE on Wanderhome has an interest in leading and administering the DENet on your server.
and if they've been worthwhile.
I can definitively say that the DENet on Ahazi has be indispensibly worthwhile. It is a VERY good idea to set this up. I find it a bit hard to believe that we are the only profession that really has this kind of setup in place. If the other professions only knew the power of such an organization, I suspect we'd see them pop up all over the place.

I'm going to un-sticky it from the top of the forum, because I'm trying to keep the number of stickies from getting out of hand. Wouldn't want a MOD to come in and un-sticky my stickies.
