Its a very big, very heavy decision. It looks like they are going to go with what the community majority wants. I personally dont know what the "right" answer is. I know I brought all the issues to the table and the team talked about them.
I guess I am not understanding. You say here that you are going to go with what the community wants, but below you tell us no droid utilitiescan enhance any abilities. What exactly is a droid for ? What exactly are we going to end up with? No combat droids and more useless modules that no one ever uses? The only real sellers now are item storage and medical. Data storage is never requested, nor is repair.
I think at this point the agenda is clear. We are being steered in one direction. Combat.
If you notice TH describes utility as "not exciting".
This says volumes as far as the direction the Devs want to go.
I have said this before and I will say it again. They wrote the code for DH already they are not just going to throw away that work. The more we fight it the more they (the Devs) will make us wait untill we accept it. I have not seen any post from them to suggest otherwise.
I too would like to see utility but not if it will take 6 months to come and we get nothing else in the meanwhile.

Disclaimer: DE is, and never will be entitled to any extra checkers. In fact, we are taking some checkers away from DE just because they asked for more.
Every other class gets to play checkers. Droid Engineers just get to play Russian Roulette. Which DE is the next one to take the bullet ?

I have tryed very hard not to be swayed by the nay sayers, but it is getting harder and harder. I love this profession and I won't give it up no matter the choice the Devs make. But for the love of all that is Droid make a decision.

More and more, I am thinking that this whole droid discussion with TH is just spin to give them a plausable reason not to do anything till the droid expansion.
I guess I shouldn't post when I am feeling this bitter about what is going on here...

are you talking about the "droid invasion" patch or an expansion that comes after the space expansion?
but you are right, i have a bad feeling too. They did not listen to the community and started doing combat droids, then a few weeks befor bringing it in the start to listen to the community and throw the combat droids away (or maybe not who knows) and make a few utility droids. I think in the end it will be worse then it would have been with Droid Handler and all combat droids and worse then witha utility update.
And with the last answer of TH with all this talking about the "extra checkers" i got a real real bad feeling. At the end i am happy when i survive the patch without beeing nerfed.
