Can we get a full listing of the schematic requirements from someone on the TC?Screenshots will do. I'd like to get the resources ready and sub-components in crates before vehicles goes live.

Read the test center forum. It's already posted. Right now it is only Ferrous and Non-Ferrous materials to make one. No components.

No subcomponents. The 2Master ArtisansI talked to said just the metal. Only quality that matters is Shock Resistance.

Does quality make a difference in speed?

    No.

It is still very possible the schematics will change before going to live. Don't put these preliminary schematics in the bank just yet.

the Tidbit Post seems to have "disappeared." Now, what do you think that means?

I think it disappeared because it was more of a "to do" item than a "known issue".

The fact that it was there at all is interesting...

That post is now hiding behind a tree.... on the grassy knoll.

It would be awesome if they moved it to MA at the last minute. Makes sense too: they wanted to test it so they made it widely available to all TC crafters stemming from Eng 4. Hopefully they'll put it in the right place when it goes live.

You know what? There's a TERRIBLY interesting tidbit in this stickied post from JustG... http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=TestCenter&message.id=40067

This is in the fourth post:

Vehicles: Move the vehicle schematics to Mater Artisan. (S) (sic)

So what do you know? It looks like most DEs will still be in the game, but many others may be out.

    Rho,

This might just be a method employed to get non-MA DEs to actually get to MA.

It's making me think a lot about it...but I'd have to give up some skills to get there.

Using my powers of telepathy (mainly because i can't be bothered to dig up the link to the post made that listed the different game-files that were identified as vehicle components that were already on the client) I am predicting that the blueprints will change to get lots of sub-componentsbeforeit hits live in the next few weeks.Course I could be wrong...

I have a feeling they are gonna pull a fast one on us.

I mean, look at all the subcomponents that droids take - a vehicle takes none?

There was such a mess with mount prices and with city hall races that I think they want to avoid doing exactly what the title of this thread suggests. There will be some "catch" to making them - could be components, or could be specific resources.

If that's all it takes, I'll be making some high quality vehicles - I have a large quantity of 1000 shock resistance metal. Up until now it's been useless to me - too bad I've used so much already.

Someone asked above if experimentation made them go faster - the answer is no, but it does increase hitpoints, supposedly.
