My factory just vanished...I was out of the game on vacation for 4 days. I did check for maintenance and did not remember see a problem or I would have put a buck or two in it....obviously I must have made an error or something.

I got an email today...sent Wed. saying factory was at 32%, then another dated thurs. saying 5%....gone today. I had 300 brains, lots of seekers, and parts to make the combat mods when they came up, not to mention a buttload of resources....do our structure die in 2 days?? I am so POd, plus this pitiful excuse for a droid invasion....I am about to make it one less MDE.

Something adverse happened to my maintainence during this timeas well, except it was only my vendors, not my structures. I paid 30 days of maintainence ahead of time, but when I came back (I should have had 10+ days left) they were all at 80% integrity with about 3900c of repair needed. Very odd.

Maint on factories HAS to be off. I havent tested this yet (just keep forgettting to write down the amount and time) but my guild has lost 3 factories because of this. I must put 5k of maint in my factories every 2 days or less.

I'm so close behind you, I think.

I lost a harvestor that i know had 10 days of maintenance after 6 days last weekend (and judging by the email (i was out of town) it took 2 days for it to die. So in theory w/ grace period that should of been 12 days that died in 6. It was only 1 of my harvestors so i dont know what the story is. I didnt bother reporting it because there's no way to prove anything.

Yep! Verified here, too. I'm on Valcyn and I had a food factory go down to 25% in a day or two and I keep those darned things stuffed with maintenance.

I had the same problem on Flurry. I lost a equipment factory with tons of parts: brains, adv. brains, egp, emm, motive, pretty much every component worth having I had a few crates of. All gone, along with 4 BER10 medium harvesters. I know that they all had enough maitenance. I was very close to leaving, but, for whatever reason, I am still here.

I have noticed that during packeted publishes (that is, when a monthly publish is coming out and it is broken into pieces a few days beforehand to divy up download time for people) and a factory is making items past either the time the server is updated or restarted it can get one of those inernal manufacturing errors and shut off. This might be related somehow, since a lot of us have experienced problems around update times.

that would explain a few things with me as well. I had a few harvesters up with what I thought was about a weeks worth of maintenance in them and it was damaged the next day I logged on. I thought I just had totally screwed up the maintenance.

Sorry to hear about your factory. I had just taken mine down for an extended harvester run. Good thing too.

I'm on Bloodfin and have never noticed my factories reporting erroneous maintenance figures. That's not to say it doesn't happen, just not to me so far (knock on wood). I remember that harvesters used to show the wrong power stats until you clicked "refresh" in the status window, but for me, factories have always worked fine...

The one I had was an unknown #, so said the email, which is why I thought it was the bug. Thanks though, that is good stuff to know.
