This would explain why a lot of bugs hit us hard on this publish. During CU beta, a blanket creature code was put into place that effected all pets and droids. The code used for droids is rather complex. Add that complexity to changes that force the code to do something else, and then add code on top of that, to make the droids behave as they are now, with Publish 18.
All of that code layer stacking, without going back through to make sure that each line of code matchs up and doesn't conflict with something else, is the reason that Droids are so FUBAR right now. DE needs a single DEV to go through all of the miles of code line, to debug the entire droid system.
Of course, I would rather see the entire droid system gutted and replaced with one or two of the ideas that the DE community has suggested since launch. Then again, many of the people who know me IRL think I'm crazy.

Come on Straker...you're a veteran here.
You know getting a dev to post on the public boards is not going to happen. That's why we have corespondents. I've seen devs post before, but only on the private forums...
You mean DEVs post in the Correspondent's forum? A lot must have changed since I stepped down then......

Tis a great relief to see ye well and Fighting The Good Fight Jenden, and to the other Worthies posting in this thread, I think I knew he was suffering comp problems (with my sympathy) but still, its nice to hear the sound of his voice.
Reassurance you know....steadying the troops and all that 
I am sure the birdie sings the truth..the Droid code must be an almighty mess by now. Perhaps they are having a personality disorder having been mixed up with pets for so long..that might account for the spitting sounds at the very least.
Onwards and Upwards..no direction left as an alternative !!
