We can all rest easy now that the import ability to change the color of our Uber widely used droids might make it to the live server.I dont about the rest of you but this should turn around the DE class imho. Its good to know the devs are right on top of the important problems of the droid class.

Woot, instead of a useless grey DZ70 with 40 ham, I can now make a useless RED DZ70 with 40 ham. Our profession is fixed at last!

</sarcasm>

Droid colors would be bottom on my list of things to fix.

I think you're sarcasm is ill-founded.

We can all rejoice that we can add color to our horribly ineffectual products.

I look forward to being able to take over Ahazi with my army of pink Probots.

Actually I think color will sell more droids.

People ask me EVERY time what colors I can make.

I agree...

also - I dont understand why some of you say we are horribly useless... unless your specifically talking about combat. If so, then i'd have to agree that we cant make good combat droids... But that will come. Holo just reiterated that yesterday. They plan on getting rid of the over abundance of creature handlers with droids... Droidekas will be out near christmas i would suspect. We can make lots of useful non-combat droids right now. Medical equipped droids, crafting station droids, Bounty Hunter seekers and probes... its a good start. The rest will come ... be patient.

Adding color is great but to be honest thats the least of my worries about DE class. After the intial sells for new color on a bot where does it leave us.Ill tell you back to the same place we are at now with noone besides BH to sell our products to and maybe a crafter here and there.Issues like droid storage and datamods the fact that beyond a ego high someone gets from a r2 there is no reason to buy anything more than a mouse droid. The fact that armor is borked or that we get no UEXP the list goes on and on. But guess what we can do it all in a new color now I feel so much better.NOT

I think color was the most important problem. Art is such a key part of our lives. I, for one in all sincerity, say:

I had a guy just yesterday, cancel an order because I couldn't make the droid in the color he wanted, since he really didn't 'need' the droid.

Um, unless I didn't read it correctly, colorization still wasn't working on things like R2 units - the droid was still losing colors and going back to the defaults...?

Lemme guess, the droid colorization kits are going to use DE experimentation, which means we'll only get one experimentation point unless we're master DEs...

No dear, it's based on customization points...

It's in the refinement tree together with experimentation.

To be honest, I hope they don't release this yet.

There's no point in releasing this feature if it doesn't stay intact on all droid models.

I'd rather wait and not get anything new than get one more 'busted' feature.

Once they have this feature working correctly, then release it.

Until then...don't get give DEs yet another reason to hate their profession choice.

Just my 2 units of your local denomination...
