Ok, this thread is only for the happy DE. So you DE's out there who just want to compain all the time cause no one's buying your product for whatever reason don't post here please.....

Hello, my name is Bugeye and I am a happy Master Droid Engineer. I live on Tatooine which can be kinda difficult sometimes as I am of Mon Calamari decent and need a nice moist breeze against my skin as my skin has a tendency to dry and crack under dry conditions.

I love my job. I love making Droids for customer's who appreciate a good droid when they see one. I feel the most satisfaction when I get a tell or email from a past custi saying, "Hey, nice droid $#%*!!!" or "remind me to buy from you again you #*$%!!". I don't know what the symbols mean but I hope SOE works out the bugs soon so I can read the hole message. Even walking into the Cantina on Tatooine just the other day an old customer of mine who I hadn't seen in awhile walked up to me and said and I quote, "You again! %#$* you $%#* and *&$%." Man, I hope SOE fixes the bugs soon. Anyways, I feel so good right now as I am able to help my fellow whatever you may be......

I just wanna say that I love being a Master Droid Engineer and I wouldn't change anything. I don't think it's so bad. You just have to play with the cards you are delt. You can't have everything you want in life. It's all part of the game and if you know how to play it then the changes woudn't even make a difference.

I love mouse droids. dear good save me from mouse droids. i cant sleep they'll eat me. I cant get them away from them. Drums Drums in the deep.

Hi, my name is Deidre; ((/drone Hello, Deidre)) and I am a happy Droid Engineer.

I've made some decent sales, proportionate to the quantity of my work. I have yet to get a dissatisfied customer. Most of my business comes from referrals.

Do I think the profession needs more work? Certainly. Do I think the Devs have missed the boat on a LOT of issues? Sure.

But, I'm still here, and I'm still having a good time. When it stops being fun you won't see me through the cloud of dust my running feetwill kick up.

Count me in as a Happy MDE!

Crafting Droids is ALL I wanted to do in SWG, and I will keep at it.

I played (er....tested...)during Beta, and cant even begin to count the number of "fixes" to Droids since then, and these latest patches are bringing us leaps and bounds closer to where we want to be. Thereis plenty more to go, and thats what I look forward to.

My "plastic pals" are what this game is all about to me, and even with the Space Expansion looming closerwith what I'm sure will be some new and exciting professions, I just cant imagine giving up the hard-earned skills and fun of being a Droid Engineer. I take being the "Head DE" of my PA seriously, and work with all the new aspiring DE's to help them along their road to success.

Through being loyal to my profession and striving to do the very best that I can with what we've been given, I've made a successful "business" thrive, made lots of "player" friends, and earned a good reputation among my PA and beyond. For someone who's never played a MMORPG-thingy before, that's not too shabby.

oh yeah... I'm also having fun.

No matter how bad DE is in SWG, it's what I will do, and there in-lies the problem. DEs love Star Wars. The profession will always be populated by Star Wars Lovers. SOE will never see a signigicant drop in the DE profession because of this. SOE will never see a need to fix a profession that is well populated. I am happy making droids, but I know I could be alot happier.

Don't let the mean 'ol combat-types blow up my droid /sniff.

For a moment I thought this was gonna be another sarcastic thread till I clicked it!

Anyway, my name is Glantor Soulbearer and I've beenquite a jolly Master Droid Engineer for 4 months now.Most of my sales come from referrals and random tells from strangers (normally when I make my appearance at Coronet a.k.a lag central).

It's true that the recent developments have dashed my hopes about the DE profession becoming l337, but I'm happy to say that I've made close to 2 million through selling *almost* perfect droids and crafting stations. Being a DE helps because I can craft my own super droid storage compartments, lol.

I hope that everyone will peace out and stop blaming the devs for the rotten state DE is in. What's done is done. Time to move on and be constructive peeps. Our negative attitudes have scared away the devs from this board, which is a shame. And give our correspondents a break, I see almost every well meaning dude being shot down the moment they take up the mantle! Sheesh!

For everyone who wishes to rant, please post in the dev boards because that is where devs have no choice but to monitor and take note of complaints. Droid engineer boards should be reserved for generating ideas and highlighting the latest news and developments IMHO.

I'm glad that there are a few happy DEs around. Hopefully more people will realise that our droids can be useful wheneffectively deployed, and are able to sell quite well once customers are given the proper education.Droids are complex to non-DEs, so take some time to roleplay and talk to them about droids. Heck, even some MDEs don't know everything about droids!

Alright, hope that everyone who still loves droids in Star Wars would keep the fire going and spend some time educating non-DEs about droids! If your fire has died down or been spent, chill out and explore the other professions! I'm sure you will do well in them! (I consider players who do well as DEs to be really intelligent individuals *DE pride*) Which other profession is more challenging than DE?

Hi my name is Tarne and I am a happy DE, although not a happy MDE yet because I'm not MDE. I like making my droids, and then selling them. I like explaining to people the differences between the combat droids and what they can use them for. I also enjoy using my droids to be the self proclaimed pest removal service of my town. I also enjoy using and making utility droids, as well as correcting misunderstandings about how many modules certain droids can hold. Right now I'm wishing for the deed stat fix, and for different utility droid chassis to have their own specialities. And hey we're part way there on the different chassis have different pluses because of the combat droids.
