Hey guys. I'm heading onto TC2 and i'm going to be making an exact copy of my mains template. I'm a Master Artisan, Master DE, Master Merchant, Novice Pistoleer.

I'll keep everyone posted on the conversion of Droid and Crafting xp to FS xp. As well as how well I do in testing the quests.

If anyone else is testing (i know Dresk is) post here.

Sure, butcher my name why don't you....

The following is the path of badges that I have gotten in my search for the 'Mysterious Stranger'. Feel free to post your paths here as well, so that we can narrow down the path. The message in red indicates where I received the message. Many appologies for not listing them in the order that I recieved them, but I was going off of the character sheet listing.

I ran into my old man about 20 minutes and 4 shuttle hops after I hit glowy. 40 minutes and 4 shuttle rides later I was attacked by the two Sith. As a 0303 Marksmen, the 1-2k HAM Sith almost did me in. The Sith encampment, that you get after using the disc, wiped the floor with both me and my droid, not once, not twice, but three times. The encampment consisted of 1 11k HAM and 2 8K HAM Sith. The next part of the quest is currently borked, so I haven't made it to the Village yet.

The following is a list of all current XP conversions and holo credits - Brought to us by deamons and StGabriel

All Weapons XP (rifle, unarmed, Polearm, etc) 1 for 10 Conversion Ratio

Combat XP 1 for 1 Conversion Ratio

Bounty Hunter InvestigationXP 1 for 5 Conversion Ratio

Squad Leadership XP 1 for 12 Conversion Ratio

Creature Handler XP 1 for 5 Conversion Ratio

Merchant XP 1 for 5 Conversion Ratio

Image Design, Musician, Dancer, Ent HealingXP 1 for 7 Conversion Ratio

Scout XP1 for 5 Conversion Ratio

Wilderness Survival XP1 for 2 Conversion Ratio

Medical XP1 for 5 Conversion Ratio

Surveying XP 1 for 4 Conversion Ratio

Medicine, BE, Armor and WeaponCrafting XP 1 for 5 Conversion Ratio

General Crafting XP 1 for 8 Conversion Ratio

Structure Crafting XP 1 for 30 Conversion Ratio

Spice Crafting XP 1 for 5 Conversion Ratio

BE, Chef, Tailor and Droid Engineer Crafting XP1 for 5 Conversion Ratio

None of these conversion rates apply anymore. My appologise, since I forgot all about updating this post.

This is the list XP cost per tree

In order to get Trained in Novice of any of these skills it costs 50k of the correct FS xp type.

For level I skills it takes 175000 FS xp of the correct type.

For level II skills it takes 250000 FS xp of the correct type.

For level III skills it takes 350000 FS xp of the correct type.

For level IV skills it takes 450000 FS xp of the correct type.

It takes 620 appretice points to master each, but you receive no bonus for mastering any of the 4 skills.

The credit for previous professions seems to come in the form of "free branch unlocks" that are available from the XP converter guy. He offers to let you unlock a certain number of branches -- you can choose any of the FS branches. I have 3 unlocks but have not used any yet as I don't know how they work and don't want to lose them prematurely. FWIW, I grinded out 16 professions but only did 1 holo. Someone with 3 holos then silent and 7 total profession (something like that) had 2 unlocks available. My thoughts are either that these unlocks let you skip a quest and go right into grinding the xps or that they will fill out an entire line. We won't know for sure until someone is brave enough to try theirs.

More info from StGabriel Swordsman Corresponant:

Ok, I replied with this info but I think a new thread would help. This is the normal method through which FS skills are obtained by FS charactors. At the end I will briefly discuss what is known about boons received for Holo grinding.

Basically there are two parts to obtaining FS skills. The first part is doing quests and the second part is using FS xps that have been obtained from converting regular xps.

Let me give an example. Captain Sarguillo is an NPC in the village. He offers a quest to attack an enemy base. When you do this quest you obtain the ability to train Combat Prowess: Melee Accuracy. That doesn't mean that you actually have the Melee Accuracy skills -- you just have the ability to actually train them. In order to do th actual training you need to convert your regular experience into Force Sensitive Combat xps. There are four FS experience types: combat, reflexes, senses and crafting. Normal xps convert at various rates into these FS experiences through an NPC. For weapons skills the conversion rate is 10 weapons xps -> 1 FS Combat sp (or Reflexes xp). For combat xps the rate is 1:1. Etc. There is a more complete list in another thread on this board.

Combat boxes require 175k, 250k, 350k, 450k experience for each respective level. To continue the example, when I completed the captains first mission I decided to train Melee Accuracy. I had 260k combat xps, 900k 2h xps, 900k unarmed xps and 900k SL xps. The combat xps converted directly into 260k FS Combat xps. The unarmed and 2h xps converted into 180k. The SL xps converted at a rate of 12:1 and yielded 75k experience. Having those xps AND having done the quest with Captain Sarguillo allowed me to then train Combat Prowess: Melee Accuracy I & II. I then had to go out and grind to obtain more experience to get III & IV.

Perks for Holo-grinders: The perk for holo-grinders appears to be the ability to get "free unlocks" of entire FS branches. I did 1 Holo and 16 total profs and I was offered 3 free unlocks. Someone I know who did 3 holos (+1 silent) and 7 total profs was offered 2 unlocks. I don't know of anyone who has used these yet and so it is still unclear as to what they do. For all we know they may give you the entire FS branch right there or they may simply give you credit for having done the quest respective to that branch. If it's the latter that would be a real letdown as the quests are a lot of fun and have rewards as well.

175,000 FS xp= 875,000 droid crafting xp

250,000 FS xp = 1.25 mil droid crafting xp

350,000 FS xp = 1.75 mil droid crafting xp

450,000 FS xp = 2.25 mil droid crafting xp

Note to self: Begin crafting Advanced Droid Frames ASAP!!

Goodbye hologrind, hello FS grind. *sigh*

Is it just me, or does this system just perpetuate the need to gather massive amounts of resources and grind? Those xp requirements to convert to FS xp are kinda ludricrous IMHO.

Hey, thanks very much for piecing this stuff together, though - great work!!

Yeah i was thinking the same thing. It is another grind but it allows you do grind inside your chosen profession. Think of it as an "elite" elite profession grind.

I only have one account and really want a second slot on my chosen server so I'm doin it. Hehe.

I was looking at the different type of xp that you can convert and these are the skills that you can try to max out before the publish:

Merchant xp gives FS Heightened senses xp

Surveying xp gives FS Heightened senses xp

General Crafting xp gives FS Crafting xp

Elite Crafting xp gives FS Crafting xp

So for myself, I can try to max out General Crafting, Droid Crafting, Surveying, and Merchant xp. This when converted would give me about 3-4 low level boxes.

Ok well I crunched the numbers. Here they are:

One 4 box branch in the Crafting tree = 6,125,000 droid crafting xp

4 branches = 24,500,000 droid crafting xp

average xp for crafting Advanced Droid Frame = 440 xp

24,500,000 / 440 = 55,682 Advanced Droid Frames

Total resources to craft 55,682 ADFs = 8,352,300 steel and 3,897,740 fiberplast

Yes I'm crazy.

*Stops crying* ... Ehm, well...

So now I know there are four FStypes: combat, reflexes, senses and crafting.

Does anyone know what the different skills/mods/bonuses are in the different branches? A thread somewhere that explains it all. I am so in the dark just now.

Ok can you guys please make a FS for dummies post please. I'm still a little vague on how it all works. Is this right?

So you get bades, then at some point, you get a visit from an old man, this then lets you start doing the Force Quests?

In the Force quests, you can then convert your xp into points? Confused on this.

Do you need to give up skill points to do any of that?

I wouldn't sweat the grind on the XP side honestly. Right now I am maxed at 240k Droid Crafting xp. I can convert all of that correct? You actually get a lot of xp for making finished droids, it wont be bad.

Now the real questionI have is this. Does the Force Exp skill stack with exp tapes?

Hey there! Here's the short version. Crafter-oriented.

Starting with Pub 10 there is a village on Dathomir where FS people live. They will train you in FS skills.

You need to collect badges to get an invite to this village via the "Old Man". See Drashk's post above for an idea of which badges a crafter may have to collect to get the invite.

After the invite you get attacked by two sith thugs who you must kill and loot stuff from. This loot sends you on another quest that I havent heard much about. Once you complete this quest you have access to the village.

The rest is what I have read from peoples posts not 100% accurate:

You go to the village andtalk to a FStrainer. Every skill box that you want to buy has a quest that must be completed before you can buy it.

In order to buy the box you convert regular xp (General Crafting, Droid Crafting, etc) into the appropriate xp type that the box requires. Each box costs one skill point for a total of 24 skill points (boxes) to become Force Sensitive and unlock your slot.

It sounds like you will be able to convert xp that you have saved up when Pub 10 hits. I havent seen if the points stack but I doubt it. TK may be able to help us there if he has been testing.

This is everything as I currently understand it.

Correct. After the old guy, you are jumped by 2 Sith with about 1-2k HAM each. After you take out both of them, loot them for a disk that will give you the location of a Sith Camp. The Camp is pretty hard for anyone without an Advanced Combat profession. After you take out the strongest Sith in the camp, loot the corpse for another disk that tells you to go to the Science Outpost on Dathomir. At this point, you will meet Jamilla, who tells you to go to a village and talk to an elder.....at which point everything stops, since the quests are still borked atm.

In the Force quests, you can then convert your xp into points? Confused on this.

For every 5 DE XP, we can gain 1 FS XP. I can't varify this, since I can't talk to the person that trains the skills.

Do you need to give up skill points to do any of that?

Not sure as well...see above.

I wouldn't sweat the grind on the XP side honestly. Right now I am maxed at 240k Droid Crafting xp. I can convert all of that correct? You actually get a lot of xp for making finished droids, it wont be bad.

The Adv BLLchassis gives the most XP at 4k. It would take about 1550 BLLs to complete just the one tree.

Now the real questionI have is this. Does the Force Exp skill stack with exp tapes?

As soon as more info is discovered on this one, I'll post info here.

Ok thx for the info, I get it better now.

To clarify though.

Let's say that I'm not worried about unlocking my FS slot. All I want is the extra crafting stuff. So I just need to do those particular FS boxes correct?
