Thread: force crafting question...
It's a fine line to walk. If you make the reward too good, it becomes a requirement to do business ('successfully').
If you have it too weak to be a requirement, it tends to be seen as a non-reward.
I'm not sure what the answer is right now.

The XP isn't too bad when you figure you can't do it any faster than 9 weeks anyway (due to the cycle of the village). I don't know about anyone else, but I probably get probably around 200k+ droid crafting xp a week (hard to tell since it caps out so early) just doing normal orders. If you really want to do it in a normal amount of time, that wouldn't be too much more crafting.
Question is Jenden, how much hand crafting do you do?
To master Crafting Mastery, it will rewuire 24.55 Million Droid Crafitng XP. 240k XP per week equals out to just over 100 weeks, or a little under 2 years of causal play.
Food for thought.
As I understand, this is the case (meaning you won't see much difference).

So basically, if I am maxed on Exp and Assembly from tapes, these bonus's will do nothing for me? Will they go over the +25 cap?
You'll see more Amazing successes, etc.
Just so you all know, I let the Devs know that I didn't feel like this 'reward' went far enough for DEs...

Here's some more to chew on....
You'll be grinding droids in Practice mode (instead of selling them) due to the fact that:
- We have no decay system, ensuring that your XP isn't spend on droids for people.
- There's no way that you could sell enough droids to get all this XP by making droids for sale.
That's my read on this, so far....(but I'm still seeing info come out, so this might change).
Basically, doing FS XP crafting/grinding will be Practice mode 24/7. ![]()

Being forced to totally gind it to get even close is lame.
Well, the difference here (from the old system) is that a person can be an MDE and stilli get a visit by the Old Man. They want you to be able to move forward on the quests by doing what you want to be doing anyway (crafting droids).
Whether or not that's a 'grind' for you is a mindset. I can see how many people will view the system as a similar grind to the old one. Any system they would put in place be 'grindy'...that's unavoidable, I suspect.
Respectfully,
You can convert whatever amount of XP you 'grind' to FS crafting XP.

TK, as Drashk, already said, doing it casually would take months and months. Yet we have to do it during the current "cycle" of the village. If we don't finish it, we lose it all right? How can I possibly get all that in 3 weeks WITHOUT grinding hardcore.
Could you read my other post I just posted. Maybe I'm looking at it all wrong.

So in order to be the best crafter, you have to get the force skills? Just checking... That means the entire server will be full of force sensitive pc's? With no limit on that?
Nope.
The force quests do not give an experimentation bonus. They offer an increased chance of Amazing Successes, reduction of crit fails, increased chance of repairing an item, and improved Assembly bonus.
Now, if we look at the experience costs, currently it will take a minimum of 1,275,000 FS Crafting XP, or 6,375,000 Droid Crafting XP to fill up one tree. I really hope that the DEVs reconsider the removal of the Experimentation point bonus and simply make it so that they total cap off clothing and FS skills is +3. This would justify the experience point expenditure for crafters...
No one is going to grind DE to get Force Crafting XP, they'll grind Architect Gungan heads. I really feel sorry for the Architects, they'll be flooded with people grinding FSXP.
