Droid Engineer Archive
Thread: Idiot posting-all spammers welcome!
- Some of you DE's need to use that blank area on the lower right side and give instruction or additional information about new products, in fact this would save your arses in the long run.
- Everyone purchasing this type of droid be very careful they do not work without the surveying mod.
- Ask your DE if the mods are preattach Im not sure if this possible.
Question can these mod be placed on droids after DE makes them? Some droids you can't add mod later. - Corbantis server has extream low supply of vertex gemstone, some say it hasn't spawn since game day is this true.?
- Last would someone explain surveying droid use on this thread for ease of use. I'm sure it's embeded on a sticky somewhere but easier found here.

Ouch... I hope you post his name on your server forum board so others on your server won't be duped by him.
Here is what I found on the survey droids from the stickied post.
----- snip -----
- This droid is 'certed' (available) only to Novice Artisan or higher. If you do not have Artisan, you cannot use this droid.
- It will generate (and send you) an emailed list of resources on a selected planet (no stats or concentration, just a straight list).
- It is listed as "Item" in the crafting tool's Droid list (below BH droids).
- This is multiple-use 'charged' droid (similar to BH droids that come in packs of 5, for example).
- This droid is destroyed on use.
- It has a DZ70 style chassis (which cannot currently be customized).
- A survey tool (for the type of resource you want to survey for) will be taken and used by the droid. You will lose this tool and it will not be returned. Note: It needs to be in your main inventory when you set the droid off to do its thing.
- Fixed Interplanetary Survey Droid crafting error (TC Notes: 04/19)
- Fixed errors with the email report from the Survey Droid. (TC notes: 04/21)
- The Survey Droid can no longer be used indoors. (TC notes: 04/21)
Schematic / Resources:
- 40 units of Carbonite Steel
- 20 units of Chemical
- 25 units of Chemical
- 30 units of Vertex Crystalline Gemstone
- 35 units of Known Radioactive
- 1 EMM (Electronic Memory Module)
- 3 EGPs
Description of functionality:
- After the droid is done crafting, it will show up in your main inventory as an item (note: It doesn't use up a 'pet' slot in your datapad.)
- Double-click on the droid or use the radial menu to select the "Use" option. Make sure, when you do this, that you have a survey tool (for the type of resource you want to survey) in your main Inventory window.
- You should then see a list of all planets (including the one you are on at the time). Select the planet for the droid to survey and hit "OK".
- You will then get a window where you select a survey tool that will be 'eaten' by the droid to perform its function. Currently, it doesn't appear that the quality of the tool will matter (but this might change).
- The droid will disappear from in front of you.
- At about 15 min. (or exactly 15 min.), you will receive an email (showing as being from your character) with the emailed information report about what the droid found. Note: I tested the time needed on both the planet I was on and another planet. In both cases, the time was 15 min.

Guess what it sad when I earn my credits threw my time playing this game, and if your good DE you should understand the basics of your products. I wasrobbed twice today on my server with misleading information from DE's, Crook is a crook I don't care how you spell it-If you mislead your product your a damn crook. SWG gives a space for additional information so use it. Don't put products on your vender and you don't know how they work orexplain it toyour customer. Good customer service go's a long way. So if you find this funny then I say to others watch out for this guy because likely he will sell you something he doesn't know how to use.
The basics you are complaining about changed this morning. As far as your time playing? I spent 45 minutes building a friend a R3 Advanced with much goodies inside it. It has two defensive slots for armor. I placed 2 lvl 6 armor plates in them. Guess what? I wasted a armor plate because one lvl 6 armor/composte plate maxesout the droid. Nowherein any instruction manual nor the Holocron does it tell me this. Ionly know about it because I stumbled onto a post that mentioned this. Otherwise I would still be using 2 lvl 6 plates.
You have a problem with your droids? Firstplace a post on your server's, not the DE forum, but your SERVER'S forum warning of thisperson. Then bi.tch to the Devs for labelinga droid to do something, yet letting it be built in such a wayas to circumvent it's intended function. Then bi.tch to the ingame CSRs demanding a refund.
I wish you was on my server or I could transfer to yours. Two DE use the term module (tool module) at least that why I use the term because they used the term.
Oroo
Only reason I went to his shop is because he spamed in coronet while sitting in his speeder taking up space like freakin fool the first time I met this guy he ran me down in coronet in front of the starport and ingulfed several people with his car not giving a darn about others. I shouldv'e known better then to buy from him. The Impire needs to take his driving privilege away he's very careless.
After emailing him he did reply 20 min later trrying to understand my concerns but at the same time he use the damn annoying tatic it's the customer fault crap-Your the darn DE you should know and understand your products like I understand how to be a doctor and CM, It's not my job to pre-understand complete detail on DE prof. thats why we pay the credits and with that customer service follows. Oroo get it together Sir. and stop parking that big stupid eddie bus in front of starport it takes up to much space. This could nasty and posted on carbantis forum.

Knock,
I'm going to keep this short because your arrogant and I mean that in a nice way
These forums are used by paying customers and this is a DE subject so why are youtrying to get me to excape this issue. You are the type of of person that will throw rocks and then hide your hands. Dev. are just one part of this game Sir, the bigger part is us! You sound.......errr nevermind.

You have to have novice artisan to use this droid and, at novice, you can make all your own surveying tools. I've never noticed quality makes any difference, so you can turn these out extremely cheaply. Actually, he's probably saved you a lot of cash by not supplying them, though it may not have been his intent.
Thanks Knapweed, I didn't know that I have survey 3 keep cost down making my own meds which I know how to do! hehe. O'boy I'm frustrated. I should be playing then posting. With that info I'm outta here.
UPDATE:
CSR_MelissaL, says "there is a known bug with surveying droids when using the droid it returns a blank Email"
Oroo, isn't such smuck after all. I still have to throw a rock and say, use the additional space and give instruction. please.
