I've seen R2 robots with 57 detonation power. They're mean (do about 2,7k dmg)but still aint good enough to instant incap someone with good buffs. I guess you need something like 70 or 73 detonation power to instant incap someone with 1k base ham und 2,5k buffs. Is ist possible to craft droids with that high power? Money is not an issue as long asone droid costs less than 250k (the new missonpayout for knights...)

Nope, 57 is almost a perfect one.
R3's hold 6 modules, each module has a theoretical max of 10 detonation power.
So the one with 57 had modules rated with 9.5... wish i had these

I seem to recall MSE droids getting a bonus to the boom, but how much of a bonus I couldn't tell ya.

MSE's get a +10 for each module, but since they can only hold 2 modules they would cap at 40 (theoretical ^^)

The bonus is 10 or 20. I forget which exactly.

everything said here so far is correct. I'll add a little and summarize:
mse: theoretical best is 20 (i don't make these)
advanced mse: theoretical best is 40 (mine are 39)
advanced R3: theoretical best is 60 (mine are 58)
it's possible to make other kinds of detonation droids, but thesethree are really the only configurations that make good sense, IMO. though i must admit, some DE on my server is making detonation droids mixed with combat modules, and putting them in a variety of chassis... I don't know what he/she is thinking. that seems a foolish idea.

And here's an interesting little detonation rating to damage ratio equation that was brought to my attention:
Minimum Damage = Det. Rating * 170
Maximum Damage = Det. Rating * 200
Less 75% damage in PvP, of course. Not sure if this is official, but it's darn close.
My Adv MSE's are 39 and R3s are 58, BTW.

Using the same detonation modules, my Adv MSE get 37 power and an Adv R3 gets 56.
The cost difference between the two makes the R3 seem like a poor choice, but they sell way better than the MSEs.
Go figure...I guess people have too much money and will pay 10x for the extra 19 points.

It's because they use them to hunt jedi usually. A 56 detonation power droid can incapp even a buffed jedi with a single blast. as 37 detonation power droid can't.

It's actually 150-200 damage. Most people use 170 or 175 for an average damage feature.
You can take out a buffed Jedi with one, it just usually is by an attack on the mind pool.

Well even buffed, the mind pool is generally a lot lower then main stats. Since Mind buffing is tied to your origional stats and not a flat bonus.
Figure since Jedi don't rely on secondaries nearly as much as other professions, many go heavy on their Primaries so 1000 for each for HAM.
Figure for HA, 1000 +2500 = 3500 with buffs. Some food can be added to this, adding as much as 2k, but those don't last long.
Yet for Mind 1000 x 2 = 2000, then add Brandy x 2 = 2800 about. Maybe add Muon for about 3100, but again that's time limited, plus other foods can add to mind, but are low time as well.
So normally your looking at about 3500 for Health and Action, yet about 2800 for Mind. Numbers may vary a little, but Mind is ussually lower. Within the range of where a good droid can take them out.
