Thread: survey droid picing?

Just curious what others are pricing these at...I saw another DE on my server selling a 10 use one for 45k each...which seems way too overpriced to me. Mine are 11 uses each, was thinking about 3k per use? so maybe 30k....any help would be appreciated...thanks

I dont know what server you are on but my goodness, 30k for a stack of survey droids? 45k??? You think people are going to consider using the droid if it is actually cheaper to use the transports to check resources themselves? Im selling mine at 3k per stack of 12!


If you really want people to come back and buy droids from you, taking advantage of the novelty to overchargewont help your business. These droids might require a bit more specific resources, but they are justa tiny bit morecomplex to make as BH droids and I would never imagine a BH paying 30k for a stack of seekers!.. let alone a crate.

Just seen a guy on chimera charging 10k for a 13 use 23 quality survey droid


I personally am new so want a good customer base


Am making 13 use 44 quality ones and selling on the bazarrs atm @ 5k each


i was thinking about doing other versions but it all comes down 2 quantity vs quality vs time


Ill get back 2 testing now

Vertex is also a very rare resource on my server. I was fortunate to find a vendor with a sizable stockpile for sale.


I priced mine based on substitution, not on resources. There is a substitute out there for survey droids, and it's going to the starport and taking the trip yourself. At the cheapest, that trip costs 750cr -- so that's what I charge per use.


12 use droid, 9kcr. Crate of 5 for 45kcr. I'm betting they sell fine until someone undercuts me.

I sell the interplanetary survey droids for 8000 each. They are 10 use and take 26.5 minutes(quality 74).


Im thinking about going to 8 or 9 use to try and break the 20min per use line.

500 credits a charge, 10 charges, 47% quality (37 mins). I may go down to 300 a charge if they dont sell as well as I'd like. On the other hand, I am selling crates of survey devices at 50 a pop since I can make them with any scrap resources I have laying around.

1k per charge. Decent profit for you, good cost for the time and travel they save for the customer.

I plan to charge at least 2k per charge is not more. I don't care if people don't buy them. If they aren't will to pay that much for them, then I'll happily craft and sell something else. At anything less than 2k per charge the money just isn't worth the factory time it will take for me to make them.

On Intrepid I saw the closest (geographicly) competitor to me selling his for 15K. Mine are still at 10K, where I rased em to after I saw someone shouting that they were selling em at 20K. Then on top of that I had a arcitect that lives near by me buy out my entire stock and put them on his vendor for, guess what, 15K.
People are just going insane over these things, and I dont meen that in a good sales perspectious way.

I was ripped off on my server. These things should only cost like 5 credits each because they are just plain and simply pointless. Just gives me a name and what type of resources they are.....Psh I can do that with SWG craft and even get more info for free.


I would have thought they would of added some more info on area percents for the planet.
