Thread: survey droid picing?
Pricing has to come down to how much it's worth to the players buying them.
Average return ticket from Correlia is under 2K but you have to wait for the starships. I figure most people would work that out for themselves and expect the droids not to cost much more per use than the tickets ![]()
The problem is, the droids are a convenience item, not a neccessity so the buyers will drive the pricing, not the sellers.
Selling them at 2k a charge on Scylla
Crates of 5 at 100k have been flying out of my venders, I have sold 2 factory runs of 200.
Selling them cheap on the bazaar to "make a name for yourself" is pointless, hurts your fellow DE, and yourself long term. If you are a new DE go hawk them outside a busy starport.
Oh, and using swamps price list seems to work, selling Adv, R3 with 6 harvest modules or 6 stim modules at 175k seem to be selling well too.
I'm selling them for 1k a charge myself on Starsider a little less if they are bought in crates and not individually. Atabout 9-10k eachthat makes up for the 4 master artisan components and the Vertex which is a rare resource. It is also still way cheaper than a round trip ticket to most planets and it saves you time and gives you a record you can save or export with the /mailsave command.
The part I"m not doing yet is selling the survey tools in crates and the only reason is that so far I've been so busy making GP's and EMM's that I haven't had a chance to run any in my factories.

I dont know what server you are on but my goodness, 30k for a stack of survey droids? 45k??? You think people are going to consider using the droid if it is actually cheaper to use the transports to check resources themselves? Im selling mine at 3k per stack of 12!
If you really want people to come back and buy droids from you, taking advantage of the novelty to overchargewont help your business. These droids might require a bit more specific resources, but they are justa tiny bit morecomplex to make as BH droids and I would never imagine a BH paying 30k for a stack of seekers!.. let alone a crate.
Well alot of people have more money than time, and if the can send off 6 at once, and keep crafting or doing a harv run, then yes it is well worth twice a travel ticket.
I have not sold any yet.
I'm selling 11-use Survey Droids for 6k each or 30k per crate on Ahazi.
They're selling okay, but not great. I can't tell if that's due to my location, which is admittedly poor, or if it's because these droids just aren't that useful. Personally, I think it's a combination of both - most of the demand right now seems to be people who just want to give 'em a try. I'm selling very few crates and getting very few resales, presumably because the people are figuring out that they just don't need very many of these for the limited times that they're truely useful.
