As previously promised, I'm giving up DE as soon as I use up my existing parts inventory.

Meanwhile, for those who are sick of guessing what to charge for their products and who have a copy of MS Excel, I thought I'd offer up the pricing spreadsheet that I made. You only need to come up with 5 numbers (4 average resource type prices, one markup ratio)and it does all the rest of the work.

It will also keep track of your inventory and its value, if you want to go to the trouble, and it will generate prices on custom configurations on the second page.

Certainly, it could be improved (markup reflects factory time based on complexity, special resource prices, etc), but it's a goodtool requiring minimum input to get you up and running.

I'd be happy to hear responses if anyone found it useful.

Hey Man,

Nice work! Thanks a lot for sharing this tool.

For anyone who hasn't looked at it, he's got a very nice (customizable) pricing system. It also has a great inventory feature, which I have been looking for (all those random droid parts spread around).

Really well done spreadsheet. This one is going on my desktop as a must use quick reference tool! Now if only I could have it on my work computer i would be golden

I love the tool all ready. No more pen and paper when trying to figure out what I should charge for anything more complex than an MSE. I appreciate you sharing it

Really nice job done on this. It is good, you only have to change a couple of numbers to come up with a consistent price for all you droids. Thanks a lot.

Tardyn, feel free to steal whatever elements you like of it for your stand-alone pricing program. Same goes for anyone who wishes to adapt this to another profession,etc.
