Sweet!

I like spreadsheets, and this one took a lot of work.

Great job!

Looks great. I guess it means I have to learn how to use excel now.

Here's my non-excel solution to pricing:

  • 10x resources used for all parts(excluding MSE/advMSE)

  • If factory is used, add 250c per component or pick up Master Merchant :-)

  • Same goes foreach service/defensemodule

  • Obviously, add the cost of any composite armor segments, power cores etc to the cost of the droid.

Done and done. Most of my customers say my prices are the lowest they've ever seen this side of the Outer Rim but I get by pretty well all the same. Fully packed probot ~ 10k depending on modules :-P

JediKnightMark, your flat mark up fee vs markup ratio is a possibility I hadn't considered. If I update the spreadsheet before I drop DE, I suppose I could easily incorporate that suggestion. I'm curious to see if your formula really yields such dirt-cheap prices.

Sorry for the thread revival, but I figured Dart would appreciate a response.

As far as I have seen, it does. The only exceptions to this formula (for me) are the MSE, adv. MSE and Bounty Hunter droids for the simple reason that the supply of MSEs is ridiculously high with Novice DEs wanting to sell something and Bounty Hunters need to weigh their expenses and their returns with the price of their droids, respectively.

For these reasons, my MSEs are 500c base and adv. MSEs are 1500c base. Seekers are 5000c for a crate of 5 charges of 10. Probes are 7500c for same. Other than these changes, I do what I said before and round to the nearest 100c for simplicity's sake. (usually down)

If anyone wants me to post a pricelist to show the outcome for everything in the DE profession (base cost for droids, all components, modules and chassis etc) I will.

Any Excel guru's who can update this one to include combatModules? This one was GREAT before the "Droid Invasion".

PLEASE let me know if anyone figures it out!

Dear God another necro post

All I have to say to anyone using such a tool (good though it is) is please remember do not undersell, a droid is for life. Would that it decayed in some meaningful way.

Happy Crafting
