I know that most of us are merchants and wanted to direct everybody's attention to the In Development forum where some interesting ideas were floated to the community this morning.

Just looking for what DE's accross the game felt about it.

If your talking about limiting the number of items we can put in our vendor to 150, I am okay with that. Honestly I have never hit that high with my Droid Vendors.

Even with the tonnes of Droid Furniture and about 30+ Droids, BH Droids, and even some Droid Component Crates, I have never been much higher then 100.

150 Sounds Reasonable, I honestly always thought that 100 was the limit anyway.

I'm also thinking that raising the Bazzar cap from 3K to 6K would allow me to move my BH and Battery business off of my vendor and into the bazzar.

150 item cap is far too low for vendors. I've never had that many items on my own vendor, but know of people with upwards of 1000 items on a vendor. And not for storage either, all legitimate sales.

There should be a cap, but not anything that will be game breaking for many people. My suggestion was maybe 200 item cap as soon as you're able to place a vendor, then 50-100 increase for every point in efficiency in the merchant tree.

This is exactly why I was against raising the time limit on the vendor from 7 days to 30 days. I knew that this would come back and bite everyone. My question is, what is going to happen to those that have more than 150 items on their vendor?

Vendors need a cap of 500 items and a time limit of 30 days. That's enough to make a merchants life easier, while preventing some exploitation.

I don't think its an issue of exploitation, I think its an issue of Blue Tower need RAM.

Since more and more items are being piled up on vendors now and with more the increased load that vehicles have created, the servers/coding is pushing its limits. This game is pretty freakin massive to begin with and with as many people that load up their vendors and such, its more than likely eating away as system resoruces. Which was my arguement against the 7 to 30 day increase.

But you have to load up your vendors to offer a selection to clients.

My vendor has about 300 items on it. Every one a legit droid or droid accessory (and a few weapon power ups on clearance).

500 would seem reasonable. 300 would suit me fine.

I'd hate to have to manage more than 100-200 items on a vendor! As a Master Merchant, I have the flexibility to just drop a new Vendor, though. One for Droids, and one for Supplies.

I'm fine with the vendor limit (though I'd like to see it higher than 150 items). And the Bazaar cap is good, too (though I'd like to see it raised to 10k instead).

With the bazaar cap up to 6k we can now sell crates of BH droids on there, and also 40% armour DZ-70's to newbies! I guestimated the best price for those is about 5k, which is too high to put on hte bazaar as it is/was, but too low to be bothered to sell manually. Hopefully this opens up some new avenues for low-cost droid sales.

These are both very real possiblities.

I'm considerably more concerned with how the new 6k cap will affect the resource market.

I was thinking about the resources on the bazzar....for one thing, I mine most of my own so it won't affect me much at all (it helps to have access to the extra lots of your PA members). Also, if I have a particularly slow week in sales, I put up resources to sell for maintenance cash so If the market goes up, I win that battle too.....for me, the changes are good, unless it turns the resource market south and I can't get as much for my extra resources....I don't see that happening though.
