Hi there,
I'm just a TKA visiting this board because I was curious as to whether a medic droid is craftable. If so how mcuh do these cost and how well do they work?
A droid that could heal during battle would be a handy thing for a soloing brawler to have.

This, unfortunately, is the most common misperception. Droids do not heal you. They never heal you. The most they can do is, with a Medical module, they allow a trained Medic player to heal your wounds anywhere instead of just at a Hospital or Camp.

Ahhhh.... I see, well I had a hunch thath might be the case, thinking about it if everyone could buy a medic droid that could heal you, who would need a player medic? That would screw things up big time.

When you sit in a camp or a medical center without a medic healing you, you do heal wounds at a very very slow rate. Is it possible that droids with a medical module can allow you to heal at a slower rate than sitting in a camp or med center? I don't have the time or patience to test this out but a few people have said that they noticed their wounds healing. Maybe someone could test this out, if its true then it improve the market for droids.

You can now heal wounds anywhere you want, as long as the medical droid is out.
Im not sure what else it does, but the ability to heal wounds anywhere is still quite a useful one.

For some reason I can't heal wounds inside of the cantina, I haven't tried in other places or outside the city yet but for some reason I can't heal there...any ideas?

I think it's because techinally droids aren't allowed in Cantinas, remember the droid detectors.

I think the reason you can't heal in a cantina is simply because if you could the cantina would turn into a med center. Why make two stops when you can sit down in the cantina and have your mind wounds and battle fatigue taken care of while a medic with a droid heals your wounds.

I have a question along these lines.... I just bought a surgical droid with a med 4 attachment. I want to know if a droid will ever be able to heal with a command similar to the way a probot attacks with an attack command from its master? or if you make the droid befriend a member of your group or even yourself and feed it some stimpacks will it heal then? Sorry such a newb question. Thanks.

The notes on what's in development talk about this droid being used to heal wounds. Interpretation goes both ways... does this mean it'll heal wounds, or allow medics to heal wounds?
As for the droid healing wounds itself, this might not be desireable to the medic profession as it replaces them instead of just enhancing their abilities.
