What's with this power core unit? I purchased a power core and i wasn't able to place it in the schematic to manufacture the droid. Is there another power core "unit" that i need to use or are power droids broken like so much else in this profession?

The devs really **edit**ed us DEs up now. There are power core units that are dropping from thugs and are part of completing act 2. I made this mistake... frickin devs.

What are the power droids used for?

Powering other people's droids... sadly they require power themselves.

They recharge other droids like a battery does. They can hold 3 modules as well. You can't recharge your own droid obviously since you can't have more than one droid out at a time.

well i havent been able to get the power core unit from an architect, but then again im not looking very hard. You are better off carrying around a crate of batteries to power your group's droids then having out a power droid. At least having a probot out while grouping is more useful than having a power droid. Besides that, making batteries by the crate has been very profitible for me considering the rate our droids use batteries. If someone needs power you can sell em a crate of batteries The only reason I might make a power droid is that they look kinda cool, thats the only reason I have my binary load lifter

Will power droids be able to power vehicles? This would have been a nice bone to throw DE's. What about it Dev's?

First off, let me echo what I've read from other DEs in the past: Power Droids should never require batteries. They need something to jusify that expensive Power Core Unit (other than looking cool )

But has anybody done any testing of Power Droids battery consumption vs. other models? Do batteries at least last longer in them?

Hardly honey, you usually only get about 5 uses out of a power droid before it requires a new battery. I haven't retested since the patch but I didn't notice any updates relating to this so expect it to be veeeery bad

Double damn

I was hoping these would be a good chassis choice to be filled up with the droid auto-heal modules. Figuring the increased battery useage (sp?) of the module would be offset by the inherent decreased battery useage of the droid. Oh well

Well you're still right if it's for your use, whipping out a power and repair droid and helping others out is a great way to meet people (and pass on vendor waypoints obviously ) and it's not like having to keep filling it up with batteries would be a problem for you.

Can't argue with that logic Cass.

Part of the abomination of the "droid commander"would be the ability to utilize 3 droids, allowing 2 power droids to be called and recharge each other -for perpetual "recharging"...
