Ehmm... I'm trying to construct one of those right now but I got one small problem... where do I get the power core unit?

I have recently taken to sitting outside starports and randomly recharging Doc's droids with my power droid, mostly to see how long the battery lasts. What I have noticed is that even after recharging a dozen or so droids, all below %20 power, my power droid's battery is only at %50?! It seems to me that the power core DOES help these droids. At least the battery charge/drain ration is not 1:1. Is this the way they were designed and I just never noticed?

from what I've seen the power droid uses batteries at the same average rate as other droids, but it costs it 10% of its battery power to recharge another droid from any point.
