You know you are a Droid Engineer when...

...you read through a "bug list" only to find a "nurf"

...you tell a customer the only combat droid you can build is a Probot and STILL get asked for a Droideka

...you have "Master Droid Engineer" above yourhead and get /tell's asking to purchase a rancor

...you get excited as you click the "next" button to find you have 1 point of experientation

You know you are a Master Droid Engineer when:

* When you've got your title up, the only tells you get are from people who want free training.
* You haven't made a droid in weeks.
* You're quite happy with all the colors you can put on chassis, but you'd love it if you could do that with the end-product too.
* You're no longer amazed at the fact that you have FIVE experimentation points.
* You're becoming quite a good pistoleer because of your *insert faction of choice* missions.
* The (wo)man/alien in the street asks you to make them a gurreck with a crafting station installed.

Any others?

...you read through 4 pages of patch notes to realize you were casually mentioned with Creature Handler pets.

...you spend hours hoping and praying fora fix in The Next Big Patch (TM).

...you get called greedy for not putting the best components possible into the cheapest (and most hated) droid you'll ever make.

...people offer condolences instead of congratulations upon attaining Master of your profession.

These are really funny

....when you put the pattern of crit fails to amazing succeses from experimenting into a synthasizer and they play the Beck song LOSER

....You think your /tell and email systemsare broken because no one has responded toyou about thedriods you sold them yesterday with questions like my driods broke and my friend sells MSE driods with everything it them for 1k and you charged me 19k for a surgical you are a ripoff!

....When you have been master for over a month and there are still schematics that you have never looked at, and probably never will.

....When componets are more in demand than actual products (chasis vs driods)

You know you are a droid engineer when:

  • After months of play, when you do sell a droid, you have to train the customer in how to use it.

  • You still get asked what can droids do?

  • You see one person with a droid out for every 50 CH pets in any given city.

  • People are offended when you tell them that you don't do mice, but will pay 20K for an uber gun and the same for the best CH pet out there.

  • You agree with everything in this post and the previous ones....

  • ... and are not surprised at yourself for agreeing.

You know you are a Droid Engineer when....

Youget a new DVD player and look for the "Tame" button on the box to unpack it.

You have PHDs in robotics and computer science, but make less money than acoal miner.

You try to program yourcomputer by talking to it.

You gain the knowledge and skills for building a particle accelerator, after assembling 200 pocket calculators.

You have 20 tons of steel and 10 tons of cotton fibers in your basement.

You use up those 20 tons of steel and 10 tons of fiber, making 200 pocket calculators

You then throw them all in the trash

You expect your broken TV to fix itself over time.

You change the batteries in your CD Walkman every 10 minutes.

You know you are a droid engineer when.....

.....you have been around since the end of the first week of it going live and you are now almost halfway though your first box, yet you have earned the general crafting xp for most other advanced straight artisan professions (I have everything but chef and am now over halfway to armoursmith) And you have boxes in some of those professions......

....as a novice you do a happy dance every time you sell a medical 1 mouse, and the occasional data 1 mouse and droid storage compartment......(and you faint when someone actually Buys a storage 1 mouse lol, I labeled it that it only holds one item.... )

....you know it is much wiser to wear Master Artisan than Novice Droid Engineer....sigh.....

....the sense of humour of the DE community is really the best part of this profession currently

- if you never fail on a component but always fail in the final product, you're a DE

- if dancers tell you 'is that your manipulator arm or are you just happy to see me' you're a DE

- if you think there will soon be world peace, then you're probably a DE

- if you see the word 'patch' and 'droid' in the same sentence and you know you're about to read a nerf, you're a DE

- if you get less visitors in your store than a 65 year old prostitute's house... you're definitely a DE

You're a DE when:

-You make more money getting "pity tips" from random entertainers than you make from 2 weeks of vendor sales.

-It takes metric tons of raw resources to learn how to spraypaint a droid, but the paint peels as soon as you turn it on, and even if it didn't peel off immediately you'd have to re-paint it every evening.

-You accidentally walk into a room full of players throwing a party with your DE tag on and a hush falls over the crowd.

-The most amazing acheivement of your career can be crushed by a crippled kitten

- A novice marksman stumbles out of the cantina and tries to duel you. You decline because mastering your profession has left you with enough skill points to learn how to wield a piece of string.

...your factoriesare full and your vendor is empty.

...you have 6 E-mail in you in box, all of which are FAQs to answer droid questions

...you spend an hour a day reading over the DE forum to see if any new bugs have been found.

...you gain huge enjoyment out of watching a BLL stalk a Creature Handler.
