Thread: Multiple Crafting Modules on TC!

From the Test Center notes December 4:

"Multiple different type crafting modules should stack appropriately on droids now."

Does anyone even know about this? Have the DE's on TC tried multiple crafting modules? Why isn't EVERYBODY on this forum talking about this? I'm just your friendly neighborhood user (the guy you all WANT to sell to but there aren't enough of us right now who even have a bit of a clue how great you all are), but doesn't this mean that if it goes live I will be able to buy an (advanced) R3 unit with medical, droid repair module and all four crafting modules built in? I would think this would be a GREAT thing; I sure want one for each of my crafting characters and I know my wife will want one for hers as well.

Please, if someone has a moment, can you give me another "Droids for nOOb users" class on why this isn't as cool as I think it is?

Well, I for one think it's kinda cool... However, there are those who believe that this simply cuts business, as people will no longer be forced to buy multiple droids to support multiple crafting habits. I understand that point of view, but fall more to the side of adding enough versatility in other ways that people WANT to buy more droids, even after buying an advanced R3 with three crafting stations, ten item storage, 150 data storage and a repair module.

I also think it is a great thing, heck they were supposed to be stackable from the begining. And I have had people ask for them ever since I became a DE. Is this the first of our major bugs on the list to be fixed? Then I take it as a good sign.

There is a link to all of the current changes on TC that I have tested out and can verify.

Neroir, there aren't any patch notes on the page because this is refering to the patch note that are listed in the TC load window

no need for diffrent tools anymore anyway, couple patches ago i noticedmy gen/wep/droid tool has food/clothing/armor/buildings, everything. I make spice schems with my gen.craft station.

I /bug'd it two months ago, still in there...

Sorry, Kav, but that just isn't true. First, I was talking about crafting Stations in droids, not tools. Secondly, you DO need all the crafting tools, as you cannot experiment at a crafting station with any other tool but the one that goes with the station. I know this to be a fact because I am on my other computer as I write, and cannot experiment at any other station with my weapon/droid/general crafting tool. Specialized tools and stations are still needed. I sure can't make and sell my 9 base extraction wind machines and 4 base rate harvesters without experimenting, nor any of the other items I make. If this is indeed true, I will be more than happy to save my credits to pay my friendly neighborhood DE whatever they may require for an R2 or R3 unit with all crafting tools aboard. Thanks, again, Droid Engineers, for hanging in there and not giving up.

The bug Kay is talking about is the following:
if you have a W/D/G-crafting station module in a droid and use your W/D/G-crafting tool, you can experiment on everything your skills allow. So if you are another crafter like architect or whatever, you can use a WDG-droid with a WDG-tool just as if you use your special crafting tool and station.

As for the multiple crafting stations in one droid.

As long as they fix the cluster-bug this wont be a problem.

are you 100% sure this is not apart of the WDG-crafingbug .. players have been saying this is on live for a wile now if a WDG crafting station is in the droid you can EXP in ANY tool next to it makeing it SEEM the staions work together hence any combo that includes a W/D/G seems like thay all work but if you take that out of the combo(ie ...structure, chem, & talor only) the old bug shows back up ...please verifie ... this these postes have showed up three times
